BE PREPARED –Outdoor Recreation
All hiking trails have obstacles like roots and rocks and trail conditions vary widely. Difficulty rating is based on elevation, incline, distance, and adjusted for the age group. Hiking poles required for hikes Dress in layers for variable weather; bring rain gear; apply sunblock. Wear study walking shoes or boots with good traction. Pack lunch/snacks and water. Carry a whistle & first aid kit with necessary personal medication.
