COMMUNITY EVENTS Family Date Night Date: Saturday, February 24 Time: 6:30 - 8:30 pm Location: CRC Target Age: 3+ Familes grab their favorite superhero costume and gear up for a superhero party! Event includes dancing, crafts, a photo booth, bounce house, and a dessert table. Each child will receive a goody bag to take home.
Sunday Concert Series - SEMPLE Date: Sunday, June 9 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All SEMPLE is a Chicago-based band that prides itself on combining high-level musicianship with high-energy stage performance. WIth styles ranging from 70’s rick to moern pop songs and everything in between. Everyone is sure to leave happy!
Sunday Concert Series - Roger That Date: Sunday, June 16 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Roger That is a rock and roll band, based in the Chicago area, that performs a danceable mix of California Surf, British Invasion, American Rockabilly and Garage Rock including familiar songs from Dick Dale, The Ventures, The Beatles, Carl Perkins, Eddie Cochran, Johnny Rivers, Johnny Cash, CCR, Elvis and more.
Sunday Concert Series - Smooth Sailing Date: Sunday, June 23 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All The Smooth Sailing sounds of Yacht Rock domindated the airways in the 70’s and early 80’s. The band recreates this era like no-other, transporting guests to a period of mellowness.

COMMUNITY EVENTS Sunday Concert Series - Mellencougar Date: Sunday, June 30 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Mellencougar is made up of a group of musicians from the Midwest with an appreciation for the danceable poetry of John Mellencamp. It is the only Tribute to John Mellencamp that has featured members of John’s actual band!
Sunday Concert Series - Mariachi Monumental de Mexico Date: Sunday, July 14 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Mariachi Monumental brings the best traditional and folkloric mariachi repertoire to the Mid-West. Guests will enjoy an evening of unuique and lively mariachi music.
Sunday Concert Series - The Luxmen Date: Sunday, July 21 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All With The Luxmen, the music never stops! They bring the heat with rock anthems that keep the crowd dancing with modern pop and funk classics. Guests will go on a journey through five decades of killer classics—playing the hits from the 60s to the 2000s.
Movie in the Park - The Super Mario Bros Date: Thursday, July 25 Time: 8:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Families enjoy a night out in the park to watch The Super Mario Bros movie. Based on the Super Mario video games, the animated film follows Mario on his adventures with his friends.

COMMUNITY EVENTS Sunday Concert Series - The Four C Notes Date: Sunday, July 28 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All The Four C Notes are the Midwest’s only tribute dedicated to recreating the music of Frankie Valli and The Four Seasons! Guests will be brought back to the 1960’s music scene with the distinctive falsetto vocals and harmonies that define Valli’s music.
Sunday Concert Series - Hōkūle’a Academy of Polynesian Arts Date: Sunday, August 4 Time: 5:00 - 6:30 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Hōkūle’a is a Chicago-based dance company. They delivers true and authentic representation of the cultures from Polynesia through their vibrant performances.
Health Fair Date: Sunday, November 10 Time: 10:00 am - 1:00 pm Location: CRC Target Age: All Guests explore and learn about the many different health and wellness resources available. We invite organizations and businesses to come and share information that can benefit the overall health of our community.

Winterfest Date: Sunday, January 21 Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm Location: Horizon Park Target Age: All Guests join the Wheeling Park District for a fun-filled winter event. Activities will include (weather permitting) snow sculpting, penguin egg-hunt, ice skating, dog sled demo team, winter arts & crafts, giant snow globe photos, and a winter princess meet & greet.
Hippity Hoppity Bunny Trail Date: Saturday, March 30 Time: 10:00 am - 12:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Families will follow the trail from the playground to the performance pavilion where they will collect eggs from tables along the way. There will be kids activites and inflatables at the end of the trail. Families can also take pictures with the bunny!
Earth Day Celebration Date: Sunday, April 21 Time: 11:00 am - 1:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Guests will celebrate Earth Day with a nature walk, learning about all the beautiful wildlife Wheeling has to offer, viewing live animals up close, and plantnig seeds at the beautiful butterfly garden.
Bark in the Park Date: Sunday, May 19 Time: 10:00 am -12:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All This event is sure to be a “TREAT.” Guests head out to the Heritage Park Performance Pavilion with their furry friend for fun activities, giveaways, and more!

Friday Night Headliner Series - Tributosaurus Date: Friday, June 7 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Since 2002, Tributosaurus has been paying homage to a different artist once every month. With their goal to exactly re-create the sounds of the original recordings as closely as possible, whatever that may entail. The core members of the group have become incredibly adept at designing sounds, transcribing performances, recognizing and creating widely varied arrangements.
Kids Fest Date: Saturday, June 15 Time: 11:00 am - 2:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: 5 - 10 It’s all about the kids! This free event features a variety of kid friendly games, crafts and entertainment.
Taylor Dance Party Date: Friday, June 28 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Guests will get ready to dance and sing the night away to Taylor Swift’s most popular songs. The dance party will feature music, giveaways, and more fun!
Friday Night Headliner Series - Motor City “The Motown Revue” Date: Friday, July 19 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All In Motor City, “The Motown Revue,” the artists strive to deliver an accurate and stellar representation of the classic, pulsating sound of Hitsville USA, better known as the “Motown Sound.”

Car Show Date: Saturday, July 27 Time: 1:00 - 4:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Guests enjoy a wide selection of classic cars where they learn about the craftmanship, stories, and more from car enthusiats.
Friday Night Headliner Series - Hi Infidelity Date: Friday, August 9 Time: 7:00 - 9:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Guests will hear a setlist as expansive as the horizon, as they pay homage to the revered classics and embrace the refreshing spirit of today’s chart-toppers. Each performance is a love letter to the original, meticulously crafted to match every note, every lyric, and every beat.
International Festival Date: Sunday, August 11 Time: 1:00 - 7:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All Guests will enjoy a variety of cultural and ethnic performances, over 20 cultural organizations, and many ethnic food vendors join our guests to celebrate the diversity of our community.
Kids Obstacle Course Date: Sunday, August 25 Time: 9:30 - 11:30 am Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: 5 - 10 Kids get ready to go on a thrilling journey of fun and fitness where they dash, jump, and climb through different obstacles throughout the park.

Fallapalooza Date: Sunday, September 22 Time: 1:00 - 5:00 pm Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All The community enjoys an autumn afternoon with family and friends. The events includes live music, fun activities like a petting zoo, pony rides, inflatables and airbrush tattoos. Food and refreshments are also available for purchase.
Boonanza Date: Friday, October 18 Time: 4:00 - 7:00 pm Location: CRC Target Age: All Children are welcome to spend a bewitching afternoon at the CRC filled with spook-tacular fun! Guests will decorate their own pumpkin and create a craft. Spooky storytelling, carnival games, a balloonist, and inflatables will also be included.
Day of the Dead 5k Date: Sunday, October 27 Time: 8:00 am Location: Heritage Park Performance Pavilion Target Age: All This festive 5K run/walk commemorating the Day of the Dead takes participants through picturesque Heritage Park and the streets of Wheeling. Runner enjoy music and entertainment along the course. There will also be a post-race celebration for families!
Holiday Hoopla Date: Sunday, December 8 Time: 1:00 - 3:00 pm Location: CRC Target Age: All Guests celebrate the holidays at Wheeling Park District! The event includes a variety of kids games, crafts and photos with Santa!

Bingo Location: CRC Cost: $100 Per Bingo Event Target Age: 55+ Monthly Senior Bingo is a huge hit with the 55+ community where guests are encuraged to embrace the theme. This is an excellent opportunity to conect with attendees in a fun and personal way. Sponsors will call out bingo numbers during the entirety of the event. The $100 is used for prizes to give out.
