MASTHEADS
I began by researching mastheads of other magazines and companies to gage ideas in the way that they have been shown. majority of magazine covers all consist of the same simple following , they’re almost all extremely simple and follow the same pattern of only using a select few sets of colours . I feel as though it will quite simple and efficent to make the mast head for my magazine extremely simple straight to the point with nothing to fancy or over the top

MASTHEADS IDEAS Here are a few of the examples of the Mastheads that I created to get a visual idea of what was going to be put on the front cover of my magazine I decided to try and keep everything as simple as possible not adding anything that doesnt need to be there and keeping it as limited a s possible.
GRID SYSTEMS We learn that through using grid systems it creates a structure to a paragraph or picture , or even a combination of the two. it helps to define a way in which text is being viewed so that it can be made easily accesible and pleasing to read .
AVENIR Avenir is the text i have chosen to use throughout the two magazines that have been created . the typeface was created by a designer called Adrian Frutiger in the late 1980’s The font takes inspiration from the early uses of geometric sans serif typefaces . Frutiger considers this work one of his finest achievements saying “The quality of the draughtsmanship – rather than the intellectual idea behind it is my masterpiece. It was the hardest typeface I have worked on in my life. Working on it, I always had human nature in mind. And what’s crucial is that I developed the typeface alone, in peace and quiet – no drafting assistants, no-one was there. My personality is stamped upon it. I’m proud that I was able to create Avenir.
