any play. The production is filled with random moments and the audience plays a very important and active role in the production. The production, “Neo-Futurists Plays from ‘Too Much Light Makes
the Baby Go Blind,’” is composed of 30 mini-plays in 60 minutes. The concept, created by Greg Allen, is a variant of the early 20th SEE SPRING PLAY, PAGE 10

the Pitchfords wanted to give back to two people
who have done so much for the community.
“I am a firm believer in giving back. I like to volunteer in ways that mean something. Linda is the sweetest person you will ever meet on the planet,” said CLPD Patrol Officer Angie Kruyer. “Doing this project for her meant a lot. In my mind, it couldn't have been for a better person or a better cause.” Mike has been ill and in and out of the hospital numerous times over the past year. Kruyer and another officer responded to a medical call for Mike in March and that is when Kruyer got the idea to help them out. Kruyer went back a few days after SEE SPRING CLEANING, PAGE 9

LINO LAKES — A young lady from Circle Pines has made her family proud by carrying on the family's longstanding tradition of being involved with the American Legion. Kiana Coleman-Woods of Lino Lakes Post 566 was elected American Legion Auxiliary Department of Minnesota honorary junior president at the Auxiliary’s annual Junior Conference in Fairmont April 9. “My grandmother signed me up the day I was born and my mom has been an active member for a really long time, so she got me active at a really young age,” said Coleman-Woods. Coleman-Woods, who is an eighthgrader at Centennial Middle School, has attended the district and department junior conferences since she was 3 years old. Her grandfather, Gerald Coleman, served in the U.S. Navy. Her father, Larry Woods, served in the U.S. Air Force and is a member of Legion Post 320 in Hopkins. Coleman-Woods’ mother, Patti Coleman, has been a member of the Legion for 48 years and met her husband through the Legion. Patti's father Gerald is a 58-year member of the Legion.
