Lever Du Soleil (Sunrise) examines ancient Greek draped sculptures that is strongly seen within the construction of the hero piece. The femininity of drapery is juxtaposed with the edge of brutalist architecture that is infused in the hero gown. Silhouette exaggeration is another strong feature of the gown, which was driven from the bustles evident throughout the Victorian era.

John Klif is an emerging designer known for his unique aesthetic that blends highend fashion with architectural influences. He focuses on sourcing exceptional fabrics to create designs that combine classic tailoring with casual wear. Aiming to push the boundaries of traditional fashion, Klif merges structured elements with relaxed styles to produce innovative and versatile pieces. As a top 10 finalist in the Melbourne Cup Carnival Fashions on
the Field Emerging Designer Award, in collaboration with the VRC and Vogue Australia, as well as being the recipient of the Breakthrough Designer Award 2024 sponsored by Akira Isogawa at Fleece to Fashion, this showcases his commitment to creativity and excellence. Through his work, Klif strives to create garments that are not only visually striking but also comfortable and wearable, reflecting a balance of sophistication and practicality.
