A LETTER FROM THE DESIGNER

‘Her Aura’ is inspired by the euphoric feeling of diving into the ocean on a summer’s evening. The glistening water surrounds you, the world becomes silent, life is bliss.

In this collection we see plenty of frills and pleating, vintage lace, delicate silhouettes, and freshwater pearls. Her Aura is a feminine collection designed for the female gaze. This collection shows hints of lingerie, bridal and night-out wear which work together harmoniously. The colour palette of white, neutral sandy tones and ocean blues represents the rawness of the coast.

To experience these feelings of peacefulness in our oceans, it is important that we preserve our environment. I have spent countless hours carefully selecting fabrication sourced locally from charity shops with a result of 85% of this collection being created from repurposed fabrics. It is our mission to educate the impacts of the fashion industry on our environments and oceans.

Inspiration for this colection has been drawn from the ocean bed.

Here we see fabrication that has been manipulated to create ripples, design lines that look similar to a coral flower and fabrication that includes hints of flora.

85% of the fabrics sourced for this collection are recycled and repurposed. Purchased locally from charity shops.

Not only does this make our garments strictly exclusive, it is also environmentally consious.

Rhiannan Kim takes sustainability seriously and plans to continue this practice through her studies and progressing further into industry.

The Melted Gold Jewellery Range

Melted Gold Necklace and Earrings | Set $210

This custom made jewellery set features an assymetrical design with fresh water pearls, polished shells, gold chain attachments and two melted gold charms. This statement piece has been carefully designed to be timeless.

The above aesthetic is feminine, formal and sexy. The use of lighter colours makes the garments look luxurious and provokes a sense of innocence. The use of diamonties, see- through fabric and exposed skin works harmonously with one another. With each look there is a balance between how ‘revealing’ the bodies are, with a result of a classy and devine aesthetic.

The above designs feature mesh in a stretch and non-stretch manner. I like how the designer isn’t afraid to let the lace/ mesh be the only layer, which then leaves the stylist to pair with undergarments or layering of other pieces. The use of ‘lace / tie up’ techniques for closures as well as fingerloop buttons I would like to incorperate in my designs. The embroidery of flowers on mesh gives an assymetrical and purposeful design.

Top: Exposed stomach design with an open neckline to show off the declotage. Taking inspiration from the frills on the skirt which I will use and flip upwards. A challenge to the natural fall of lace fabric which I hope to over come.

Skirt: Taking inspiration from the full length skirts with the train included. The skirt will be a-line with a front slit with frills running around the hems. I like the weight of the skirt designs. as they are detailed but not costume.

A balance between a-line and fitted, something flattering for any figure. The plunge necklines and use of lace will be incorperated in my designs. I will include a finger loop opening down the back of my dress. Taking inspiration from how the black dolce and gabanna dress is styled. Use of white in a mesh / lace fabric. Princess lines are flattering, timeless and feminine.

Use of stretch mesh and body con designs with a flowy bottom. The high neckline and sleeveless design draws attention to the slim waistline. The body suit will have a scooped neckline with spaghetti straps. Taking inspiration from the glove design I would like to have a form fitting glove that has the same length / coverage.

Isabella Top:

This crop is made with 100% recycled fabrics. It features pleated lace frills, an elatic shoulder strap with delicate frill detaiing which is also used to accent underneath the bust and freshwater pearls with finger loop closures.

Isabella Skirt:

The maxi skirt is made with 100% recycled fabrics. It features all over lace, embroidery detailing, design lines following down the skirt, freshwater pearls with finger loop closures running from waist to the bottom of the train, leg slit and frill trim on all edges.

Baby Mini:

The a-line dress made in a mesh lace fabric featrures a v- plunge neckline, scooped / backless design, scalloped edge, diamonte under v- neckline, princess design lines, freshwater pearls and finger loop closures following down the dress. This heart- laced fabric is 100% recycled.

Baby Sockettes:

The sock design features freshwater pearls with elastic finger loop closures down the side of the leg. The same lace from the dress was used for the socks.

Undie:

The boyleg undie design features a thick floral lace band with a ripple lace main fabric.

Royal Maxi:

This dress is made with a custom printed- silky stretch mesh fabric. It features a high neckline and sleeveless design. The bodycon meets mermaid with the puffy frill design that sits below the knee. The volume in the petticoat is created with bridal tulle which ombre’s to match the blue tones in the dress.

Royal Gloves:

The full length gloves are stretchy and designed to sit to the highest part of your arm. The elastic in the opening allows the glove to be styled rolled down to present a ruffled effect.

Royal Bodysuit:

The bodysuit made in a silky jersey fabric features spaghetti straps and is made to be shapewear for underneath the Royal Maxi. The placement print on the bodysuit aligns with the print on the dress.
