LOST IN WONDER.

DESIGNER.

A designer for individuals who like to adventure outside their comfort zone and explore various styles and aesthetics. I am also a multiculturally diverse individual who delivers a window to a world of creative possibilities with the use of unconventional textiles in nontraditional manner. I focus on curating design styles from various eras, cultures and perspectives to create a symbolic storyline. Research, exploration and experimentation of textiles and design directions is a key element in my design style development and creation. Aiming to push the conventional boundaries of design, the development of technical, critical and creative skills produce my personal design style process.

THEME.
COLLECTION.
Envision the feelings of pure freedom and adventure, constantly running forward, chasing the very essence of curiosity as you glide and tumble towards an unpredictable future of experiences, just as a paper plane dancing with the wind across the vast sky.
Ultimately a paper plane symbolises and is the ‘epitome of imagination, childhood, desire, magic, travel, communication, prototyping, iteration, simplicity, creativity, belief, optimism, and design’ (Dcunha, 2018).
This is Lost in Wonder, an androgynous transseasonal collection which evokes the very emotion that mimic and reflect that of the an individuals perspective and experiences, coordinating with infused colours that encapsulate dynamic movement.
Growing originally from tactical wear, the fusion of tech wear encompassing the spirit of a restless adventurer, Lost in Wonder blooms with bright hues and sharp lines across the body to represent the innocent curiosity for freedom with the safety net of reflective and protective gear if one takes a wrong turn on their wandering journey.
Similarly, designers including Walter Van Beirendonck (Leitch, 2022) creating metallic and bold printed garments and Reese Cooper (Yotka, 2022) using utility design details have walked the menswear runway for Spring 2023.
Worn as a straight forward statement or simply bright elegant active wear, individuals who wish to express their independent persona on the go are the ones that stand out in this fast-paced ever-evolving world.
Just as Einstein once said, “Life is like riding a bicycle, to keep your balance, you must keep moving.”
