The second nine descends from the Lanteglos church into the valley of the River Allen, lined by attractive bluebell woods and streams. The stand-out hole on the back nine is definitely the 14th which features an intimidating island green. The two superb loops of nine holes at Bowood Park measure 6, 692 yards from the white tees and are set up to maximise enjoyment for all levels of golfer, whilst providing a fair test of ability with no less than twenty-six lakes and ponds dotted around the golf course.
The award-winning golf club is also home to a variety of excellent practice facilities including a floodlit, ten-bay covered driving range, large putting green and a chipping green which resembles the contours and undulations of the main course. Commanding views of the majestic Bowood Park clubhouse can be seen from the eighteenth fairway, the ideal venue for refreshment pre or post round. The well-appointed clubhouse provides extensive catering for all occasions from a simple drink with friends through to more formal dining occasions and functions. Bowood Park’s Sunday carvery proves extremely popular.
