Cleeve Hill Golf Club is a hidden gem in the heart of the Cotswolds, offering fantastic views and a challenge for all levels of golfer. A magnificent heathland course which encompasses the highest point of the Cotswolds, Cleeve Hill is often affectionately referred to as an Inland links; open to the constant wind, tight lies and undulating fairways. Located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, Cleeve Hill is the highest point of the Cotswolds, boasting stunning views of the surrounding countryside from Cheltenham to the Malvern Hills, the Black Mountains, Forest of Dean and Severn Crossings. The golf course is commonly referred to as an inland links due to the characteristic of the landscape, constant wind, tight lies and undulating fairways. The Par 71 Cleeve Hill golf course measures 6, 400 yards from the championship tees and offers 18 memorable holes of golf with unique challenges on all. For instance, on the 15th hole, players are required to play over a stone quarry to reach the green. The course is rarely closed and there is not a temporary green in site - testimony to the Cleeve Hill’s excellent drainage and the hard work and dedication of the green keeping team who maintain the course to the highest standards throughout the year.
Cleeve Hill Golf Club also features a warm and friendly clubhouse where visitors can assured of a warm welcome. Friendly, experienced staff are on hand serving excellent food options throughout the day with a variety of daily Specials and a full bar menu on offer. The Club’s well-appointed, restaurant is open throughout the day and for evening dining. Sunday lunch is also catered for which proves highly popular with members and visitors alike – booking is essential. The Cleeve Hill clubhouse is also the home of the golf club’s fantastic Club Shop which is always well stocked and caters for all golfing needs featuring equipment, clothing and accessories from the game’s leading manufacturers.
Away from the hustle and bustle of urban life, you can hear a pin drop on the fairways of Cotswolds; enjoying the fresh air as you play your way around some of the finest, oldest and most traditional courses that the country has to offer. The Club Shop’s friendly staff will assist in advising on the latest equipment as well as which clothing is trending on the golf course!
