Awarding excellence Sitting just south of Oswestry in Shropshire, the now double award-winning Llanymynech Golf Club presents visitors with the unique opportunity to tee off in Wales and putt out in England! The Par 70 golf course which measure 6,036 yards from the championship tees offers an abundance of greenery and some of the most beautiful scenery in the UK, the course at Llanymynech features excellent irrigation systems and fantastic drainage, meaning that the golf course is playable all-yearround. In fact, members comment that the golf course plays as well in the winter as it does in the summer months. Former Ryder Cup captain, Ian Woosnam first learnt to play golf here when he was nine years of age and Llanymynech remains one of his favourite courses to this day.

Head professional Andy Griffiths has been at the club for over forty years and has been responsible for the continued development of many of the Club’s members, including Ian Woosnam himself in the early days. Tribute from Ian Woosnam
Welcome to Llanymynech Golf Club, where I first learned to play golf at the age of 9. My family have been associated with the club for many years with both my mother and father being past Captains of the club. Llanymynech is unique in that 15 of its holes are in Wales and 3 are in England and its still one of my favorite places to play golf so why not try it for yourself.
