As testimony to the management team and green keeping staff of The Glamorganshire, the golf club was selected as the host venue for The Golf Union of Wales’ flagship event in 2015 – the Welsh Team Championship.
Coupling outstanding surroundings and spectacular golf courses, the region is the Ideal location for a golf break. With an unparalleled variety of golf courses, old and new - parkland and links; the region encompasses scenic countryside, meandering rivers, streams and fells making a super setting for inland golf.

The Glamorganshire features a fantastic par 70 golf course measuring 6,109 yards from the championship tees. With some of the truest greens in South Wales and breath-taking views of the Vale of Glamorgan and the south west of England, the course offers a stern but enjoyable test of golf for all. A member of the Association of James Braid Courses, The Glamorganshire was also the birthplace of the stableford scoring system. Dr Stableford conceived the idea for the most recognisable format of golf at The Glamorganshire in the 1890s.
Members, visitors and their families can be assured of a warm welcome and fine catering within the fully refurbished 19th Century Glamorganshire clubhouse which offers a well-stocked bar and daily catering services. The clubhouse is also home to the superb, Glamorganshire Professional shop. Led by Head PGA Professional, Matthew Dearden who joined the club in March 2018, the shop stocks the latest equipment, clothing and accessories from some of the game’s leading brand. The professional team are on hand to offer expert tuition through a variety of coaching programmes as well their tips on the latest fashion trends out on the golf course.
