The clubhouse building also houses the Sherwood Forest Professional Shop which stocks the latest golfing gear as well as being home to a wonderful golf studio, complete with practice nets and swing analysis equipment. Forest Hill Golf Club
Located in the heart of England, the land-locked county of Leicestershire is definitely one where visitors are able to experience the great outdoors and, one of the friendliest regions that you’ll come across on your golfing travels.

A premier golf and conference centre located close to Leicester, Forest Hill Golf Club offers a challenging golf course accompanied by excellent facilities for golfers and corporate delegates.
Located in the village of Botcheston, Forest Hill Golf Club was founded in 1991 when the course was first developed. Extended in 2006, the Forest Hill golf course now features two loops of nine holes and plays as a Par 73.
The course stretches over an undulating semiwooded landscape forming part of the National Forest and boasts magnificent views over the surrounding countryside. Forest Hill presents a tough but enjoyable challenge for all.
The driving range at Forest Hill Golf Club undertook extensive redevelopment in 2021 and now features 20 floodlit bays with TopTracer technology. A golf simulator is also available and food and drinks are served seven days a week in the range.
The excellent Forest Hill GC clubhouse building is a hub of activity and ideal for socialising, meetings, events and all manner of celebrations. From the comfortable lounge bar to superbly appointed meeting and conference rooms, the club offers excellent catering options and a fully stocked bar offering a range of beers, wine, spirits and soft drinks.
Society groups are welcome throughout the week with packages combing golf on the championship golf course with various dining options. A course for all seasons, Stoke Rochford Golf Club, originally designed by Stafford Vere Hotchkin is one of the best courses in Lincolnshire for society golf. Situated 6 miles south of Grantham in the picturesque parkland estate of Stoke Rochford, the golf course features fantastic drainage and irrigation meaning that visitors are able to putt on true greens all-year-round, as well as not being hampered by the conditions and lies that other courses in the region are a victim of during the colder months.
The golf club was formed in 1924 taking advantage of the naturally scenic setting that it found itself in. Today, the mature parkland in which the course at Stoke Rochford lies, set out by Capability Brown, features tight fairways with gentle slopes, mature trees and fast-rolling greens which make it one of the finest tests of golf in Lincolnshire with playability throughout the year.
With our Centenary last year, we would like as many golfers as possible to take advantage of playing this wonderful course, either on a day out with your mates, or by entering one of our Opens which we are hosting during the year. Encased by trees and the Stoke Rochford Estate walls, the Stoke Rochford course is a Par 70 from the white tees with a WHS course rating of 71.2 and slope rating of 124. A true test of golfing ability as well as an enjoyable course for those looking to improve their handicap, the golf course is also recognised as one of the most attractive golf layouts in Lincolnshire offering a challenge to all abilities among a beautiful mix of flora and fauna, which the Estate features in its abundance.
Renowned for winter playability and the rare use of temporary greens, Stoke Rochford features some interesting contours and no less than four river holes with the Cringle Brook running through the heart of the golf course. It is often referred to as ‘Lincolnshire’s hidden gem’ and number one in the region for winter golf.
The Stoke Rochford clubhouse offers an extensively-stocked bar with beers, ‘real ales’, wines and spirits readily available, as are a variety of homemade cuisines, from snacks to three-course meals with all dietary requirements catered for. You don’t need to travel far to find Branston Water Park and Barton Marina, not forgetting of course the National Brewery Centre.

Burton on Trent Golf Club is a golf course steeped in history, with over 100 years of competitive play at its current historic location. An undulating golf course set in 150 acres of land, its tree lined fairways require accuracy from the tee. With three of the four par 3’s being uphill it makes them difficult holes. The fast sloping greens require a gentle touch. The 6579-yard course is one of the finest in the Midlands providing a stern test for golfers of all levels.
The mature course offers a serious challenge from beginner to even the lowest handicapper with accuracy, course management and shot selection being critical to maintain a low score.
Visitors are welcome in the clubhouse to enjoy food and drink. All dietary needs are catered for and a fine selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages awaits to quench your thirst whilst overlooking the picturesque 18th green. The shop offers the new range of Puma, Footjoy and Ping range of Gents clothing and carries a large range of Ladies clothing from Glenmuir, Island Green and Puma.
Both Gary and Ben work on coaching with all levels of golfers and can design a programme to suit individual needs. They have specific coaching programmes and events for ladies and junior groups.
The Golf Club is a very popular choice for societies, welcoming groups of 16 and above on Mondays, Tuesdays and Fridays. A wide choice of menu, excellent facilities and 18 holes or 27 holes of golf on the excellent Harry Colt designed course ensures everyone has a memorable day.
