6.1 Framing

7.1 Moisture Protection

• Foundation protection: Spray on waterproof resili ent, membrane, by Tremco Barrier Solutions, Watchdog Waterproofing or equal.

• Vapor barrier under slab: 10 mil, cross-woven, po lyethylene sheet membrane.

7.2 Roofing - Sloped

Main Roofs: Architectural grade asphalt shingle roo fing, 30 year, Certainteed, Landmark Designer Shingles, c olor: Pewterwood

• Bithuthene: 6’-0” up from edge of roof, crickets & valleys to ridge, or as indicated on drawings

• Flashing: Copper flashing at roof valleys

7.3 Roofing - Flat

• Second Floor Balcony: Single-ply, fully adhered, PVC roofing membrane by Sarnifil or equal. As applies.

7.4 Thermal Protection

• This home meets or exceeds the criteria of the Massachusetts Stretch Energy Code and will have a H ome Energy Rating Certificate attesting to compliance.

• Insulation shall be installed as followed:

o Exterior Walls: 2” Spray closed cell foam insulation with 3 ½” fiberglass batt, R-29

o Floor Rim Joists: Spray closed cell or open cell foam, R-29
