Shelby Cartret Class of 2014
National Honor Society “Honor Student”
Shelby Lynn Cartret, a National Honor Student, will begin working towards an undergraduate degree in business administration and political science in the Fall. Currently working as an intern for the Office of the District Attorney and upon completion of her undergraduate, Shelby plans to attend law school. She will fasttrack her undergraduate with online and distance learning courses throughout the summer. As a relative of Francis Scott Key, a well-known attorney and author of “The Star-Spangled Banner”, Shelby’s interest in law was sparked during her freshmen year at Wacammaw Academy, while she worked at the North Carolina General Assembly as a Senate Page, attending daily Senate sessions and committee meetings.
