ANDREW BARROWMAN
FEATURED ARTIST
28th September to 28th October 2024
Andrew Barrowman is known as an accomplished plein air artist, and recently took part in Sky Arts Landscape Artist of the Year 2024. He sketches and paints outdoors in Cornwall’s most beautiful and dramatic locations, using a variety of mediums from charcoal, graphite and pastel to egg tempura and oil paint. His sketches are then used to inspire larger scale studio works in both oil and charcoal, works that express his love of Cornwall’s beautiful coastline and unique moorland scenery.
This new collection is inspired by the coastline from St Ives in West Cornwall to Polzeath on the wild North Coast, and includes views of iconic locations such as Porthmeor, Gwithian, Godrevy, Holywell Bay, Bedruthan Steps and the Camel Estuary.
