Programme information >> Technology explore technology trends and the latest developments within computing and technology areas. Core topics within this module could include programming, website development, digital design, photography and animation. Explore new packages and tools to enhance computing for personal and professional use. >> Office administration students will have the unique opportunity to learn different skills in our simulated office environment. Students will be able to demonstrate and apply knowledge of office administration processes on a day to day basis including office procedures, office etiquette, stock control and writing skills. >> Communication students will improve communication skills and learn to provide quality customer service through building positive relationships and meeting the personal needs of customers. These skills will be practiced in a variety of simulated work roles including front line reception, telephone conversations and dealing with complaints. >> Computing students will learn the basic skills to confidently use a computer. Learn how to use the Microsoft Office suite efficiently. Software applications include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access. Be able to produce and maintain documents, spreadsheets and databases. Also covered is health and safety while using a computer. >> Life education students will enjoy class trips to a variety of professional, recreational and education facilities. Visits from professional speakers for motivation, career planning and life skills are also included.

Further study options Graduates of this programme can apply to enrol in the Certificate in Office Administration and Computing (Intermediate) or higher study in a certificate, diploma or degree level programme at Whitireia

Qualification Graduates gain the Certificate in Work Skills (Office Skills and Computing) and the National Certificate in Business Administration and Computing (Level 2)
