Programme Information This programme assists students in gaining the necessary driving licence, together with the knowledge and skills to work safely as a road transport operator. Students will work towards the National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Goods Service). Areas covered on this programme include: >> Manual handling >> Theory and practical driving tests >> Law and practice >> Class 2 licence >> Forklift ‘F’ endorsement >> Dangerous goods ‘D’ endorsement >> Communication skills >> First aid
Further study options Graduates can apply to enrol in one of a range of trades programmes offered at Whitireia or another tertiary institution to complete the National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Goods Service).
Career opportunities Graduates will have the skills to seek employment as class 2 truck drivers and forklift operators.
Qualification Graduates gain the Certificate in Commercial Road Transport and credits/papers towards the National Certificate in Commercial Road Transport (Goods Service)
