PROGRAMME INFORMATION The aim of this programme is to prepare students for employment as an apprentice in the automotive industry or for further study towards becoming an automotive engineer. The content of this programme is split between classroom based theory, practical work and work placement in the industry. The programme covers the following: >> Automotive electrical and electronics >> Fuel and exhaust systems >> Preventative maintenance >> Transmission systems >> Workshop engineering >> Engine dismantling and rebuilding >> Customer service, sales, transactions >> Communication One day each week may be spent working in automotive workshops in the region. This gives students the opportunity to put the skills and knowledge that they are learning into practice, while having the opportunity to develop customer service skills.
