“Through Whitworth’s music program, I’ve performed in Seattle, Chicago, New York City and Thailand. I get to work and study one-on-one with my professors in a state-of-the-art facility. I’ve been able to spend time and play with jazz legends Arturo Sandoval, Branford Marsalis, and my musical hero, Pat Metheny, among others.” DENIN KOCH ’18 MUSIC – JAZZ PERFORMANCE MAJOR

Become A GLOBAL CITIZEN

BECOME A GLOBAL CITIZEN

Whitworth is a different kind of Christian university. We live, learn and love across our differences, and we discuss difficult issues – with courage and compassion – to find our commonality in God’s reconciling love. At Whitworth you’ll become a global citizen through abundant study-abroad opportunities, intercultural programs and events on campus, and engagement with Whitworthians from around the world.

BECOME A GLOBAL CITIZEN

“In my time at Whitworth, I have been able to relate with people who I thought I had nothing in common with. I have learned compassion, empathy and the art of conversation in ways I never dreamed. As a result, I have made many friends from diverse backgrounds. Their lives and testimonies have provided insight into cultures far different from my own upbringing.” EUGENE BELL ’18 BIOLOGY MAJOR

Become A TRUTH SEEKER

BECOME A TRUTH SEEKER

Whitworth is a community rooted in the grace and truth of Christ. This doesn’t mean you’ll be asked to sign a faith statement. Or be told what to believe. It does mean you’ll be encouraged to seek the truth. To learn and listen with an open mind. To think hard about what you believe and why you believe it. And to connect your faith or worldview commitments to important decisions and lead an integrated life.

WHERE FAITH BECOMES PERSONAL. COMMUNITY WORSHIP is twice each week

(attendance is optional, but arrive early to get a seat!). Our weekly student-led worship services are a popular evening study break.

ASWU CHARTERED CLUBS include Catholic

Fellowship, En Christo ministry to the homeless in Spokane, Exceptional Praise Gospel Choir, Jubilation Dance Ministry and more.

YOUNG LIFE LEADERSHIP PROGRAM serves hundreds of high school, middle school and special-needs youth.

CAMPUS MINISTRY COORDINATORS serve as student-leaders in each residence hall.

DIVERSITY, EQUITY & INCLUSION MINISTRIES explore ways to love and glorify all of God’s creation.

“My experience at Whitworth has been life-changing in every way possible. I feel my path to Christ would have taken longer without Whitworth, where I have been challenged to deepen my faith and volunteer my time to helping others. The opportunities at Whitworth have been influential, and I wouldn’t trade my experience for anything else.” MEGAN ESCOBAR ’18 BUSINESS ADMINISTRATION AND FINANCE & ACCOUNTING DOUBLE MAJOR
