6 Brock Peterson, biology: “During my sophomore year, I worked on a research project with my professor that investigated the effectiveness of perch deterrents on avian predators. The data was presented by the professor to the Bureau of Land Management. I learned a lot about the research process, gained experience processing data, and saw the real-life significance of ecological research.” CLASSES THAT TAKE YOU FURTHER No matter your major, we’ll give you the experience that helps you see where you can go from here.
Gracey Jo Gonzalez, economics: “The Econometrics class I took was incredibly fascinating. It allowed us to use data and numbers to describe economic systems and find I loved being able to use and apply new skills that we learned every week in class.”
7 Jenelle Aoki, education: “My favorite class so far was Intervention for Behavior or Motivation. This class helps you navigate classroom management through learning about behavior disorders and analysis, which can be carried out in your future classroom.” WHAT IS IT LIKE? Hear from our students about their majors.

Our net price, after financial aid, is remarkably affordable –even compared to state schools.
Aaron Slape, English (recent Fulbright scholar!): “Whitworth was able to provide such great and abundant opportunities and knowledge for a good price. I don’t come from a lot of money, so financial aid is something I rely on heavily. Whitworth was able to offer so much more than other private schools in the area and so it just made sense on paper. I just also really enjoy Spokane.”

10 IT’S BETTER WHEN YOU’RE HERE. Many of our students say they knew Whitworth was “the one” when they visited. You, too? There’s only one way to find out. Take a campus tour: Get all the highlights in less than an hour. Ask your tour guide: “HAVE YOU CAUGHT YOUR PINECONE YET?” Check out a residence hall: See how students make Whitworth their home, get involved and make lifelong friends. Ask a student resident: “HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE PERSONALITY OF YOUR RES HALL?” Sit in on a class: Don’t worry, we won’t quiz you. Ask a prof: “HOW DO YOU CONNECT WITH STUDENTS OUTSIDE OF CLASS?” Make your first connection with our admissions counselors. Ask them: “WHY DO YOU LOVE SHARING ABOUT WHITWORTH WITH FUTURE STUDENTS?” SIGN UP FOR A VISIT SO YOU CAN... ???? START HERE: WHITWORTH.EDU/VISIT COMEVISIT!

Maya Moggia, finance: “As someone from Southern California, it was scary to step out of my comfort zone and move out of state for college, but I knew it felt like home from the first time I visited.”
ANSWER FROM PAGE 2: The word “community” was used 3 times! Three is also the number of rules we have for living on campus. Ask a tour guide about the “Big 3” and the “Little 3” on your visit! (We like 3’s.)
