An electronic lockout motor (ELM) inside the right side stanchion of the fork quickly locks or unlocks the compression in less than 0.6 seconds. Activated by an easy to find soft-touch handlebar-mounted switch, the ELM is powered by a long-life Lithium battery and controller (brain) located in the fork steerer tube. Battery power is conserved by a vibration sensor located within the controller. When it senses no vibration (riding) for 5 minutes, the system automatically goes into a power-saving mode. As a result, approximately 50,000 actuations can be expected from the life of the battery.

The AXON fork is our state of the art racing fork. The Axon has been the focus of continuous technological advances during its life-cycle, benefitting from magnesium lowers, hollow forged crowns, the electrical lockout system and the patented Q-LOC quick release thru axle system. Our latest development is another giant leap forward in terms of the inner damping technology as well as the outer design. The all new RL-RC cartridge has been completely reconstructed. The new low-speed compression provides a drastic improvement in riding efficiency and its adjustability for cross country and trail riding. Also the top cap and the knob has been rebuilt with high-end feeling forged alloy parts. The adjuster has a click index for hasslefree operation. WERX: brain & legs Our products benefit from brain work as well as footwork. All our research and development work ends in product improvements and all these innovations need to be field tested in a real world from real riders. We work in a network of world class athletes all over the world, riding under different conditions, on different terrain, in different disciplines. Some riders take our products on a more than 3.000m high summit for an epic descent. Some riders travel 100.000 km per year around the world to test our forks at the World Cup races. And other riders figure out set-ups for special World Cup races that are no longer than a minute. Some other riders spend their whole Summer road tripping through Europe from one freeride spot to another, sharing their caravan bed with their bikes, just for fun. Our ideas, our constructions and our products wouldn't be complete without these people's feedback. Our products come from race proven engineering.

The BH SRSUNTOUR Team History The BH SR SUNTOUR team story began in 2004. At that time the team, which was called Gitane Spectra, used an Axon S-RL with an air spring and a closed cartridge. The total fork weight was around 1900g. It was a dual project: the team needed support to increase its level and notoriety in international races and SR SUNTOUR wanted to reach a high level in fork design and have a strong presence in Mountain biking at the top level. Everybody was motivated for this long journey. In 2006 the team began its long-standing relationship with BH bikes and it was the first SR SUNTOUR Axon evolution with new casting, the stanchions moved from 30mm to 32mm and we had a new closed cartridge with rebound and lockout. In 2007 the AXON ELD arrived with an electronic lockout and some riders started to use this model in World Cups. In 2008 the stanchion tubes

changed to gold anodized. The following year we rode with the new axle QLOC15mm. This new axle was more rigid and we could change the front wheel very quickly (as Julie Bresset demonstrated during the French Championship in 2010. She had a flat tyre and the staff changed the wheel in less than 10sec). In the 2010 season the Axon moved to an even higher level with a carbon lower and a new cartridge used by our leader in World Cups. We saved 150g in total. Finally, 2011 proved to be our best season for the team so far, with Julie and her 3 World Cup victories and Maxime in the top 5 on a full carbon AXON fork (light weight, immense rigidity and superb function). We are proud and delighted to ride SR SUNTOUR because the whole project is backed by motivated and passionate people. Every year we can test new products, new cartridges, new modifications on the forks and give our opinions. This long relationship has been rewarded by an incredible season and these World Cup victories. We are ready for the 2012 Olympics!

Known around the world most commonly as Blind Bobby, meet one of most recent additions to our Werx team. Bobby McMullen brings a fresh perspective as an athlete and product development member. You see Bobby is a two-time organ transplant and lost his sight at age 29 due to diabetes. That’s right he is a mountain biker that is blind in one eye and is 20/1200 in the other (basically seeing shapes and shadows). Bobby uses a guide riding in front of him constantly calling out directions and his equipment to guide him through such difficult terrain as racing Megavalanche or Whistler’s famous A-Line Downhill. Bobby’s perspective on suspension is unique from the rest of our development team in that he totally counts on what he is feeling through the bars and pedals not what he can see the suspension doing, a heightened sense of trail feel you might say. This dedicated group of racers has been tearing up the crosscountry circuit in Mexico as well as international competition since 1994. 2011 looks to be another stellar year for Team Turbo with Emanuel Valencia (Elite Men), Daniela Campuzano (Elite Women), Evan Lizardi (Junior Men), and Valentia Herrera (Master Men) all leading the national series in their respective categories. superior magnesium casting technology Magnesium casting is a lot more difficult than aluminum casting. Magnesium, though extremely light, is an unforgiving material, meaning the slightest mistake is costly. Each batch of raw material must be carefully checked for proper alloy composition. You need eagle eyes for the quality control inspections. Any tiny dent, scratch or hole in the casting can be a potential fault in the material. Only tireless testing guarantees reliable quality. Once the Magnesium castings have passed all the quality control tests you'll have the lightest fork components you can make from metal, without question. And above all, Magnesium is completely recyclable and thus guarantees sustainability.

"Upgrade" is a word we associate with extra performance at no extra cost to the customer. In fact the EPICON fork has been upgraded so much that we can no longer refer to this fork as the "little brother" of the AXON top model. Built on the 32mm stanchion platform the fork parts are as lightweight as our cross country forks. The TAD travel adjuster offers travel from 100mm up to 150mm which comfortably fits to All Mountain full suspension bikes. Equipped with the Q-LOC 15mm system the EPICON accomodates lighter wheels without losing stiffness. The EPICON is a Trans Alp proven fork on climbs as well as on descents by weighing well under the 2.000 gram mark. Whatsmore, the EPICON is also available as 29" version, equipped with the same features as its 26" colleagues. In 2011 the EPICON fork comes with a hollow forged CTS (conical tapered steerer) crown which was previously exclusive to the AXON. Thus we benefit from additional stiffness at no extra weight. On the suspension performance side the EPICON is now available with the all new, top-end RL-RC and LO-RC cartridges, known from our World Cup AXON WERX forks. Who would have thought that Roger Rinderknecht and David Graf would celebrate a double in the World Cup in 2011? In the world of international racing, the two Swiss 4cross and BMX professionals Roger Rinderknecht and David Graf are something special: these two are almost neighbours in the city of Winterthur, they have progressed as athletes in the same sports club and they both often train on their local BMX track, which they class as one of their favourite places to ride. No wonder these two riders often travel around the world together to get to the races. Roger Rinderknecht joined the SRSUNTOUR WERX team in 2008, David Graf followed one year later. That was a stroke of luck for everyone involved: Roger Rinderknecht got a Silver medal at the 4cross world championships and regularly scored strong results in the World Cup. But things got even better as David Graf caused quite a stir at 2009’s 4cross World Championships: he showed no fear of the big names of the sport, made his way to the semi finals and finished in a strong seventh position.

The 2010 season was the first as a full-time pro for Graf. He continued to score strong results, for example by qualifying in third at Leogang’s World Cup race, until he seriously injured his right ankle. While Graf was recovering from that injury, Roger Rinderknecht won the second World Cup race of his career in Val di Sole, Italy. But it was not before the 2011 season that the two SRSUNTOUR WERX team riders became a real threat to their rivals. In every 4X World Cup race, one of the two finished on the podium, and at Fort William’s World Cup race they even made biking history: Roger Rinderknecht won the race, David Graf completed the double by finishing in second.

HOME SPEED HOME The "making of" story Placing 1st and 2nd at the 2011 4X World Cup in Fort William was unreal but didn’t come out of nowhere! Having a fast training partner next door and a rad track nearby is for sure a key of our success. Riding at the limit on a daily basis is crucial to keep improving and getting to the next level. So we decided to show exactly that, just a normal day in our life. Even though my legs were still hurting from the World Cup race the weekend prior to the shooting, I was excited to start this project. It’s always good to get a little break during a stressful season and do something else to get fresh in your head again. After some shots at home and the start gate set-up in the woods, it was time for some action. Already after the first couple of starts, it became clear to me that I’d better get things going quickly. David Graf is not joking around, always full throttle! We’ve both been riding the full suspension 4X bikes for this one, so I knew that we will go fast down those trails. Filming takes a lot of time and patience. Everything has to be perfect. Camera angle, timing, riding style, light... So there’s obviously a lot walking up involved and I hate walking! Luckily, we’ve all been working on previous projects together already, so everyone knows each others strengths and flaws. As always, the Whyex crew did a great job pushing the riders to the limit! After countless hours in the woods, we finally made it down to the location for the last scene: the BMX track. Having spent pretty much my entire childhood on that spot, this is a very special place to me. This is where it all started. The Megavalanche fork Which category of riding does Megavalanche fall under? Basically it's riding down a big mountain from the glacier to the bottom of the valley but having said that, it's not as aggressive as World Cup downhill racing. It's much more extended and diversified than a World Cup downhill, with several climbs featuring along the course. So...why is the Durolux fork perfect for this kind of ride? The fork's travel (max. 180mm) offers enough of a safety buffer for big hits on the rocky section after the glacier. The updated RC2 cartridge offers you the perfect set up for big hits as well as high speed single trails. The TAD travel adjuster comes with a buzzer design PUSH button, big enough to hit it quickly. The adjustable range is 40 mm, 120 - 160 or 140 - 180 mm. Though you'll hardly notice the weight (approx 2300g) on the climbs. And in case you get bummed by a puncture, you'll be the fastest to replace the tube thanks to the button boosted Q-LOC thru axle quick release. The fork is available with a CTS conical tapered steerer as well as with a 1.5" steerer.

MEGAVALANCHE ALPE D'HUEZ 2011

1 Megavalanche - 23 km of pure crazyness The Megavalanche Race in Alpe d'Huez is definitely one of the most intense experiences you can have in mountainbike sport. As it is the longest downhill race world wide, it attracts more than 2000 bikers to the French Alps every year in July to participate in this crazy event. Starting 3330 meters above sea level at Pic Blanc, the race track leads through snow, glacier ice, and extremely rough rocky terrain in the top sections. The further down you get, the more flowy and enjoyable the trails become. But still, especially in the race run, every meter is bit of a fight. You either struggle with berms, rocks, roots in the downhill or with pedalling in the uphill sections. Besides the challenging riding, the most crazy thing about the Megavalanche race is actually the huge crowd of insane bikers chasing down the track at the same time. You feel them on your back, hear the sounds of their bikes. You see them crashing right in front of you. You are slowed down by other riders in the narrow bits of single trail and forced to pedal like hell whenever there is a chance to overtake. This year the race run went pretty well for me. Despite having some trouble in the high alpine sections right after the start – I was blocked a few times by crashing people and even crashed myself once or twice – I could go along with a pretty fast group as soon as I reached the single trail. By the end of the race – we forced ourselves pretty hard in every pedalling section – I could place myself in the front of this group and reached 19 th place. I am totally stoked about that, and I am really looking forward to next year's race, as I've realised there is potential for me to improve. And by the way, besides the crazy race, the trails on Alpe d'Huez itself are absolutely worth checking out. They have some really good flow. See you in Alpe d'Huez ! - max -

A traveller's life It's a dream everybody can make come true. All you need is talent, ambition and passion. Our Duro team was founded 5 years ago. We've travelled a lot through Europe, visited different spots, and met lots of different riders from other countries. Even though speaking to riders in foreign countries is, linguistically, an issue, talking about dirt jump tricks, skills and style make people speak with one language. The Duro team started out as a grass-roots team for ambitious young talents. And over the years some riders have matured into professional mountain bike riders. The Duro team has developed to a talent hotbed and the community and

life style of our team riders is highly valued amongst the dirt jump scene. Our pro team is made up of 8 riders from 5 different countries. Our major product re-design of the 2009 duro DJ and subsequent updates were based on the feedback these team riders gave us. We have to admit, that the Duro forks are the most maltreated products in our fork range. No other fork is exposed to such abuse and excessive riding than the Duro. Nevertheless, our dirt jump riders share caravans, cars, hotel rooms and beds with their bikes. Who else could give us more valuable feed-back about their life-partner? This is living suspension engineering.

RAMP ART I often ride through the city or countryside and see uncountable landings and nice spots for riding. Stairs or streetgaps in the city, freeride stuff in the mountains, gaps at farms, ruins or highways or just some dirt. Sometimes all you need to do is dig a kicker and shape it a bit, to have a perfect landing. Mostly I just pass by and try not to think about the pictures which could have been taken at these jumps, knowing I wouldn't be able to build a kicker on some of these spots. But one time I got the idea of building a portable ramp. Simply screw it together in no time and give it some wheels to get it from the car to the spot would be awesome. So I started building and after two days I had a nice ramp, which more or less fitted into my car.

After contacting a friend - he is photographer and he likes to shoot at extraordinary spots the story was born. But anyway: We hardly needed to drive far because we saw spots everywhere. You could jump off a roof, a stepdown in lawn bank, build a wooden or dirt landing with something which was already at the spot and the rest you can imagine. We drove around, built spots and met people, showing them what was possible with a bike and the right spots. It was and still is a nice thing to have and in the end, mountainbiking can be done everywhere and anywhere, in the city, skatepark, dirt, mountains, and everywhere in between. Inheriting a big legacy People would categorize the RAIDON X1 as an "intermediate" fork in terms of its price level, but you will quickly realise it's surprisingly well equipped. Using parts taken from its high-end brother the EPICON, the RAIDON X1 offers features such as the hydraulic remote speed lock-out, the new rebound damping adjuster, a magnesium monocoque bottom case with Q-LOC axle and a 29" option. Oh... and we almost forgot to mention, this is an air suspension fork. The fork travel is convertible from 80, 100, 120 to even 140 mm (option). Beauty is in the eye of the beholder and for a significant group of bikers the rigid fork is an object of beauty. They adore the sleek looks and simple lines inherent in its design. They accept the rock-hard riding feeling just to preserve the look of their bike (not because they're masochists). Our design team set themselves the task of winning these 'hardliners' over. They had to create a suspension fork which would convince the rigid fork fans with a sleek and slim design coupled with suspension comfort. The result was the award-winning Swing Shock fork. The 30 mm of travel absorbs the main hits from cobblestones, sidewalk curbs, little stairs and potholes. The rigid construction allows better acceleration whilst pedaling and the fork weight of around 1400 g is 200g under the lightest standard telescopic suspension fork in category. The low built-inheight allows rigid fork replacement with minimal change to the original bike geometry.

Brand new for 2012 and a counterpart to our DUROLUX suspension fork series, we are proud to launch another Megavalanche tool which will support you on your long way down. The RS11-Durolux rear shock offers a rebound and compression damping adjust as well as a dual air chamber technology. The rear shock will be offered from 190mm to 215mm in length and comes in white or black.

For the 2012 season our market proven EPICON rear shock series will see the addition of a brand new, top of the range All Mountain/Trail version featuring a built in platform system. The platform is preset and was developed to avoid teetering while climbing steep climbs by controlling the low compression damping. Additionally, the rear shock features a speed lock-out and rebound adjustability.
