2018 was one of our best years and the year when we surpassed our long established billion goal. We had already gone beyond this by November and also ended the year clearly exceeding our communication profit target of 5%. I am incredibly proud of the efforts of our skilled staff who have worked hard for many years to get here. Last year's successes also mean that we have a stable financial foundation and are prepared for continued strategic investments. The market is good for all our products, both for the chemicals of which we sell larger volumes but perhaps even more so for those we produce ourselves, where we saw a great increase in demand over the past year. In order to meet demands we have invested in production, partly to handle an increase in volume but also to maintain and further improve our already high quality. Our logistics play an important part in this success, as we manage to distribute our products in an economically and environmentally efficient way. Demand for our bio-oils as well as services related to these, such as conversion and project planning is steadily growing. Together, these business areas were the fastest growing in 2018 and the demand for conversions is now so high that we have projects planned well into 2019. We are also investing in terminals and larger storage spaces, to provide our customers with an even higher level of service. As we have surpassed our billion goal and by a margin at that, we are now looking at new goals and challenges where growth is a key component, we choose to develop because we do not want to experience stagnation and decline. Jonas Wiklund CEO WIBAX Group AB

WIBAX EXCEEDS BILLION GOAL "Our sights are set on a future with more in-house production"

The target was set almost ten years ago. In 2018, it was reached and exceeded. Piteå company Wibax is now part of a select band of companies in Sweden’s Norrbotten region with a turnover exceeding 1 billion SEK. “We aimed to reach the goal by 2020, but last year, we already had a turnover of almost 1.2 billion SEK”, explains CEO Jonas Wiklund. “Additionally, we have managed to increase our turnover year by year whilst remaining profitable and we have also exceeded our profit target for 2018. This feels great and it was of course made possible by the incredible efforts and engagement of our staff.”

The family business, Wibax, delivers chemical products to primary industry in Europe and in the last year, the main driving force behind the increase in turnover was an increase in bio oil sales. “We offer customers a total solution concept for conversion to bio oil, after which we deliver the product”, explains Jonas. “It is especially motivating to see that sector growing so quickly, as it harmonises well with our ambitions to be a sustainable chemical producer. Other reasons for the success are a major increase in sales of the company’s own products, a booming industry and positive developments in terms of both volumes and pricing. COMPETITION IN DIFFERENT SECTORS Wibax’ position as producers, advisers and suppliers of chemical products, backed by well-developed logistics, is rather unique. According to Jonas Wik-

lund, it is difficult to find a direct competitor offering the same total solution concept – instead, they face fierce competition from different companies in their various fields of business. “We need to increase our market share, partly by assuming greater responsibility throughout all stages of the value chain. At the same time, our strength lies in always being available to our customers and delivering products safely and on time. TRIPLED TURNOVER Part of this includes further investment in the company’s own chemical products. A recently extended production permit in Piteå means that Wibax is now, amongst other things, planning to triple turnover generated by their own products by 2025. An effort which will result in both investments and new jobs. Wibax currently has 190 employees.

“We are now investing 140 million SEK in increased production, larger terminals and expansion of our Piteå office.” In other words. Wibax has already started working towards new goals. These new goals are focused on continued growth and a net profit of at least five percent. FLEXIBILITY AND RECOVERY “My father always said that you have to have money in order to make money and that is our philosophy too”, says Jonas. “The tremendous development that we have had now gives us a bit of flexibility to pause and recharge our batteries for the future.” How are you celebrating reaching this billion target? “So far, we have kept it low key, just celebrating with cake, but later in the year, we will be putting it more in the spotlight, together with all our staff. A surprise is waiting…” 3

With terminals in strategic locations throughout Sweden and Finland as well as a large fleet of tanker trucks and custom rail cars, we can offer our customers cost effective logistics solutions and the best possible level of service.

UDDEVALLA TERMINAL

Wibax' position as one of Sweden's top bulk suppliers has been strengthened through further investment in our terminals for storage of liquid products. The terminals are an important strategic investment, fundamental to the goals of the group. UDDEVALLA TERMINAL

NORRKÖPING TERMINAL

CONTINUED INVESTMENT IN TERMINALS MALMÖ TERMINAL – INVESTING TO EXPAND In early 2018, Wibax received an environmental permit for our Malmö terminal. This allows us to store and handle various chemical products. It is an important step for our operations in the Öresund region and we are planning increased deliveries of sustainable products such as bio-oils amongst other things. The Malmö terminal is strategically located for deliveries to southern Sweden and Denmark, as well as imports of various products from Europe. An increased demand for bio products Primarily, there is an increased demand for bio products, which is good both for the environment and our business. Malmö is also an important location for our other chemical products. An increase in volume means a future increase in the number of employees, allowing us to invest in new tanker trucks for deliveries. Wibax estimates a delivery range of about 300 km around each terminal and in addition to the terminals in Norrköping, Skutskär and Uddevalla, the company now covers all of southern Sweden.

Remodelling and expanding We will be remodelling the terminal to adapt it to our needs. In 2019 we will, amongst other things, remodel the loading dock, isolate some cisterns and install new electrical wiring and pipes. We will also construct a new heating system for our cisterns and our office. This allows us to have fossil-free heating of the terminal. The conversion to bio-oil heating is carried out in collaboration with Wibax Industrial. "The Malmö terminal will be our hub in the growing Öresund region, where about one fourth of the combined GDP of Sweden and Denmark is generated. Though we are currently a small player in the market, we see indications that our 'tank to tank' concept is appreciated and I think we have great opportunities for expansion", explains Jonas Wiklund, CEO Wibax Group.

UDDEVALLA TERMINAL

and also remodelled the old loading site with a new plate and connected an oil separator. Additionally, we have performed maintenance work on our cisterns. In 2019, we will be moving pipes for ship imports to a new quay as the old one is about to be closed down.

NORRKÖPING TERMINAL In order to keep our terminals in a state-of-the-art condition, we perform continous maintenance work. In 2018, we have, amongst other things, replaced the roof of one of our cisterns in Norrköping. The roof has a diameter of 20 metres, a total size of 314 square metres and it weighs 26 metric tons. The roof was built on the ground and then lifted on top of the cistern. In early 2019 we will start building a new cistern and in doing so we will further increase our storage capacity in Norrköping.

A number of things have happened at the Uddevalla terminal during the past year. The most noticable thing may be the walling-in of the entire cistern area and an increase in capacity. We have built a new loading dock

has been granted an extended production permit Wibax has adapted their Piteå production facility, thereby receiving an extended permit that allows for annual levels of production to be over 150,000 metric tons of current products such as liquid magnesium and aluminium sulphate. Along with the new environmental permit, the Wibax production facility in Piteå has been remodelled for safety and work environment purposes and to ensure minimal environmental impact. New COO of Production In early 2018, Michael Bodin was appointed COO of Production at Wibax in Piteå. He has the general responsibility to lead and develop Wibax' production, currently undergoing strong development with a continued focus on increased production. The organisation has also been restructured to have a Production Engineer and

a First Operator on every shift. "In taking these measures, we hope to meet the increased demands for our self-produced products" explains Michael Bodin. Increased production of magnesium sulphate solution Plans to increase production of magnesium sulphate solution have been successful and we remain focused on project planning and development of a new filter line, whilst further increasing our rate of production in the magnesium facility. "We believe in this product as it has many advantages and provides increased operational stability and fewer maintenance hours. This results in improved efficiency and a better total economy for the customer", says Fredrik Nyberg, CCO Wibax.

Wibax' decision to focus on internal collaboration in conversion of combustion facilities has turned out to be very successful. Over the past year, we have helped many clients convert their facilties from fossil fuel to bio-oil.

TOTAL SOLUTIONS & ASSISTANCE WITH

CONVERSION TO

BIO-OIL

The Wibax Group companies, Wibax Industrial, Wibax Biofuels and Wibax Logistics have all been involved and together we have performed the various stages of conversion. Our collaboration allows us to provide a total solution, covering everything from storage to combustion. We help clients find the most suitable bio-oil, we adapt combustion facilities and convert them from fossil fuel to biofuel. We help with startup, optimisation and evaluation and we provide test combustion equipment. The Wibax total solutions concept also includes comprehensive logistics and a secure supply chain, providing our customers with Wibax Bio-oil. We have increased the proportion of biooil sales to clients who use the products throughout the year, which lessens our dependency on cold winters. The demand for replacing fossil fuels with bio-oils continues to increase, particularly in the areas of industrial and district heating, as well as in the transport industry. In these sectors, there is more and more talk about the need to "go

green" and reduce climate impact. There is also an increased awareness of environmental issues in general and an interest in what can be done to protect our environment. "Wibax Industrial has also adapted organisationally by forming a project group focused on bio-oil conversions. In doing so, we hope to meet market demands whilst working for a more sustainable future", explains Fredrik Nordstrรถm, MD Wibax Industrial.

WIBAX IS A MEMBER OF THE

BOTHNIA BIOINDUSTRIES CLUSTER E.ON SELECTS WIBAX to supply bio-oil

Wibax has recently joined the Bothnia Bioindustries Cluster (BOBIC), the main driving force in northern Sweden for further development of bio-based industry and a modernised community built on a biobased economy.

"We consider Wibax a very valuable additional partner to BOBIC, as they already have well-established connections with the forestry-related value chain. The fact that they prioritise sustainability also suits us very well", explains Ulf Westerberg, Head of Innovation at Piteå Science Park and Project Manager for BOBIC. "Wibax is doing business focused on various types of bio-oils and related logistics chains. We provide suitable additional competencies to BOBIC and are therefore an interesting player when it comes to fulfilling the process of commercialisation", explains David Wiklund, MD Wibax Biofuels. Collaboration within BOBIC is focused on specific regional conditions and the forestry-related value chain, which creates opporunities for development of current or upcoming bio-based industry. In order to commercialise new inventions, BOBIC will use both regional and global business ideas, entrepreneurs, suppliers of technology and sources of funding. OTHER MEMBERS OF BOBIC AREA: • Sveaskog • SCA

E.ON are moving one step further towards their goal of producing and delivering district heating that is 100% based on recycled or renewable sources, no later than 2025. They are replacing the fossil fuel of their Navestad backup facility with renwable bio-oil. Navestad is one of two backup facilities in Norrköping. The facility runs when primary production at Händelöverket needs support, for example in the event of disruptions or very cold temperatures. Bio-oil is a renewable fuel consisting of industrial waste and vegetable products amongst other things. The bio-oil utilised by E.ON contains no palm oil. "A backup facility like Navestad must be able to start operating at short notice, to quickly provide heating to our customers. For this purpose, fossil fuel has been optimal. However, as everyone knows, fossil fuels have a negative climate impact and we are hard at work to remove them from our production. That is why we are now transitioning to use renewable bio-oil as fuel, whilst still maintaining the security of supply for our customers", explains Anders Svensson, Production Manager, E.ON Sweden. Experiences from Norrköping will be used in the development of other parts of E.ON's district heating business.

WIBAX' BUSINESS IS SUSTAINABILITY Wibax has been working with sustainability since before the term became popular and are now leading in Sweden, especially when it comes to transportation of liquid products, fossil-free fuels in particular. We carry out our sustainability work at the same time as we help our customers minimise their environmental impact. Over the last three years, with our help, our customers have reduced their environmental impact by about 400,000 tons of carbon dioxide. "We help our customers become fossil free. We sell a concept where we do project planing and convert their facilities to use fossil-free fuels. This is an area where we are seeing strong growth", explains Jonas Wiklund, CEO Wibax Group.

One of the main transporters of fossil -free fuels Wibax ranks among the major providers of liquid product transportation, nation-leading when it comes to fossil free fuels. We have a network of terminals all over the country: Piteå, Skellefteå, Örnsköldsvik, Härnösand, Skutskär, Norrköping, Malmö, Uddevalla and Jakobstad, Finland. Our customers are found mainly in Nordic primary industry. When the company started in 1986, our business was already sustainable, even though that word was not used at the time. Founder Bo Axel Wiklund took a forestry byproduct, that was being released into the sea, lignosulphonate, and sold it as a dust binding agent for gravel roads.

Strong growth Wibax and the company's 190 employees produces, sells and transports liquid chemical products. Approximately 85% of transportation is done using our own vehicles. We are experiencing strong growth and we have a clear focus on continuing that trend, our growth has been consistently profitable. We need to seek large volumes as we work in an industry with slim margins. Therefore, Wibax is further investing in vertical integration, earning a little every step of the way, which means good business at the end of the day.

Sustainability is central to our business. Sustainability is central to our business and to us that means more than just bio products. It is about the process, the transportation, the people, it is about being a good employer. "We need to make money. However, we are also motivated by giving the next generation even better chances and an even greater quality of life. If you can earn money whilst also building a better future, you are in a good position", explains Jonas Wiklund, CEO Wibax Group..

9

WIBAX

– a friendly logistics company focusing on sustainability

WIBAX LOGISTICS manages the company's transport, with eight terminals in Sweden and one in Finland, as well as 45 tanker trucks. We work in a customer-oriented way with a system for delivery of liquid chemical products, bio-oils and salts, market-leading in efficiency. The primary products we transport and store, by volume, are sodium hydroxide, sulphuric acid, as well as bio-oils, mainly to and from the paper and pulp industry but also to other industries.

10

OUR ACTIVE WORK WITH SUSTAINABILITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL EFFORTS is never-ending and important. Part of our sustainability initiative includes providing logistics for other companies, to avoid empty return transport. Transport to our coastal terminals is done by boat and rail and the products are then moved to and from customers using tanker trucks. Their operation is another important sustainability issue. With the help of active measures and a new support system, our drivers have developed a more efficient, more sustainable way of driving. This initiative has reduced fuel usage and emissions by over 10% – a remarkable figure in this context. "We focus a lot on how our drivers act, avoiding idling, avoiding speeding, avoiding wasting energy by braking excessively, rolling as much as possible, driving in the right way, in the right gear, at the right engine speed. All drivers are rated according to an index and given tips on their driving and what they can improve. However, the work environment is also important, with good conditions, Swedish-speaking drivers, proper training and the right equipment", explains Magnus Sundström, MD Wibax Logistics. The company's sustainability work also includes working with fossil-free fuels, before the introduction of the reduction duty in mid 2018 we managed to increase the proportion of fossil-free fuel. We are also working to increase the net load, using vehicles with a total weight of 74 tons that are now allowed on certain parts of the road network, to reduce the number of shipments. An important part of this initiative has been the investment in new tanker trucks, to adapt our fleet of vehicles to the new rules allowing a greater total weight, an effort that continues in 2019. The next step, according to Magnus Sundström, is the introduction of LPG vehicles.

WIBAX & PITEENERGI IN A NEW COLLABORATION

Through the new collaboration agreement, Wibax and PiteEnergi hope to create sustainable development for Piteå and the region. It is important for Wibax to work with a local supplier, however, the fundamental requirement is of course a quality, sustainable product. In recent years, PiteEnergi have carried out a number of projects aimed at creating a sustainable community. For example, since 2014, they have sold only renewable energy. "We have high expectations of our collaboration and we are happy that PiteEnergi, like Wibax, works actively with environmental issues", says Jonas Wiklund, CEO Wibax Group. The energy industry is important in community development, partly in securing quality of supply but primarily in reaching environmental and sustainability goals. At PiteEn-

ergi, environmental and sustainability issues are top priorities. Amongst other things, PiteEnergi provides energy from 100% renewable sources only, they actively collaborate with industries in Piteå to use excess heat in the district heating system and they have extensive investment plans to maintain the quality of supply across their electricity, district heating and broadband infrastructure. "Our products are aimed at providing good use of energy to our customers and our customers are the most important thing we have. Our work contributes to the development of both Piteå and the region", explains Anders Ådemo, Head of Marketing at PiteEnergi.

A vist from Green Party State Secretary Eva Svedling Wibax' Skelleftehamn depot received a visit from the Green Party's Eva Sundling, State Secretary for Climate and her coordinator Parasto Nosrati. They visited to follow up on the grant provided to Wibax through the Klimatklivet climate initiative, to support conversion from fossil fuel heating to bio-oil. During the visit, Anna Bergvall and Jörgen Tjernlund from Wibax had the opportunity to share their views on Wibax' sustainability work and the challenges they see, for instance in unfair competition in the transport sector and limited availability of biofuel fuelling locations.

11

THE MINING INDUSTRY

- sustainability issues create a need for total system solutions 12

Water is a key issue in the mining industry. It is no longer just a question of water purification, I would like to widen the term to "water management". It is a matter of both resource efficiency and providing the right water quality in various processes and applications. Those are the words of Lars-Eric Aaro, well-renowned and experienced mining industry leader, both in Sweden and internationally. WATER PURIFICATION Water is a natural resource that must be conserved. Recirculation of water must be maximised using new technology, better process and product knowledge. It is a matter of purifying water to reach the optimum quality and volumes required for various applications. Different approaches are needed to purify the water as needed and attention must be paid to what works and where processes are flawed. There is of course extensive process knowledge in the industry, however, the awarness of available purification options is sometimes lacking. Here, suppliers such as Wibax can have a partner role, serving as consultants in the work with developing strategic plans and calculations for the entire water issue, i.e. "water management". SUSTAINABILITY When developing a successful company in the mining and mineral industry today, putting sustainability issues first is key to survival. Having a clear plan for minimal environmental impact is part of the strategy. The industry is part of the community and our work includes minimising clearly harmful impacts such as emissions and issues caused by dust. HEALTH, SAFETY AND ENVIRONMENT Safety and work environment issues have been on the agenda for quite some time, not least in Sweden. In large mines, open-pit mines in particular, dust is an issue relating

both to the work environment and to traffic safety. In addition to road dust, sand tailings facilities and product heaps may also generate dust. Treating these with products providing a long-term effect should have a very important economic impact ENERGY ISSUES Our client industries are highly ambitious and are working according to the UN Agenda 2030 and global goals for sustainable development. We observe many good initatives run by our clients, where they work with transitioning to other fuels such as bio-oils and wood pellets and appreciate when suppliers choose environmentally friendly fuels, i.e for road transport.

In many cases the collaboration continues with the results being continuously followed up in accordance with a programme. Calloff orders for products are the most common solutions, but there are also deliveries whereby the customer uses their own storage facilities. It is fairly common that mines have storage tanks for dust suppression agents. The key thing is that all materials are available on site when needed. One advantage in this context is Wibax' terminals, found in several locations throughout Sweden and the other Nordic countries. They enable quick and timely deliveries by rail or truck.

Lars-Erik Aaro, Member of the Board Wibax

LOGISTICS AND STORAGE Rail transport is now prioritised where possible. Proximity to suppliers, such as Wibax with terminals in strategic locations, is also important, as is the availability of efficent truck and return shipments. The bigger picture with on-time deliveries, reduced own storage leading to less capital tied up, provides the quality supply chains that are increasingly requested. EXPERT ASSISTANCE AND PRECISION DELIVERIES Both water purification and dust suppression are areas that require experience, knowledge and extensive process understanding if optimal solutions are to be achieved. Wibax offers advice and expertise on the various options available in each individual case. Normally, collaboration with a client begins with a thorough review of the issue and the results desired. Wibax' experts then suggest suitable products and methods and present a delivery plan and calculation. Once an agreement has been reached, there may be a trial run, followed by adjustments and additions as necessary in relation to the results. 13

WIBAX WORKING WITH PIF DAM We are proud of working with the PIF Women's Football Team and offering gold medalist goalkeeper Cajsa Andersson a position at Wibax Performance Chemicals. Her schedule is planned so that she can combine work and football. In addition to being a goalie, Cajsa is a civil engineer in the field of medical technology, a skill well suited to her work at Wibax. "Working as an engineer at Wibax suits me perfectly and gives me great work experience, even though it doesn't completely match my degree. I'm grateful that Wibax facilitates this experience, whilst at the same time allowing me to focus on football first and foremost. I'm given full control over my working hours, so that I can join the team for morning practice and work less on the days closest to match day", says Cajsa Andersson.
