APRIL IS FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH! WFCU ‘s Banzai program has great ways for everyone to learn more about managing their finances! Learn more inside!
LENDING LANE
Budgeting for a Car Loan Budgeting for a car is one of the most difficult things you do in life. Car purchases are often more about our emotional attachment to a shiny new test drive than what your family budget can handle. Wichita Federal Credit Union can help you manage your next car purchase with a pre-approved auto loan. We would all love to pay cash for our new cars and never worry about debt or monthly payments. However, most of us have to finance. Before considering a loan through a dealership, call us for the most current loan rates. We will save you money every time!
A pre-approved auto-loan from WFCU helps you determine your spending limits. Since the process is like applying for a loan, we ask you to gather important financial documents— like proof of income and insurance—that are critical to purchasing a new car. With that information, we can tell you how much you are pre-approved for, so you can shop with confidence. Getting a pre-approved auto loan is the closest you can come to the perks of paying with cash. Once the pre-approval is complete, you can use WFCU’s car search tool at wichitafcu.com on the auto loans page to search for vehicles that won’t stretch your budget. Finally, this pre-approval is not a finalized loan, but a conditional green light that you’ll qualify for a specific amount of money, so if you decide not to purchase a car, you are not committed to the loan. Call 316.941.0600 to get started!
FINANCIAL LITERACY MONTH WFCU’s commitment to raising public awareness about the importance of financial education continues in 2021 with our BANZAI partnership. You can participate through our FREE web portal wichitafcu.learnbanzai.com where entertaining and interactive lessons share important information about saving for college, using credit cards, buying a home and more. We know how important it is to learn good financial habits at an early age. WFCU sponsors BANZAI for most High Schools in Sedgwick County. So far, over 2,300 students have been able to complete the Banzai in Schools Program through our sponsorship.
2,360 Students have Completed Banzai! In Schools!

INTRODUCING...
Lauren Barratti Lauren began her career at Wichita Federal Credit Union in March 2020, as a Member Solutions Associate II at our West office. Her customer service background, empathy, and passion for helping others made her the perfect fit for the WFCU team. Lauren likes to travel. Going to the lake, exploring the countryside, and hunting are some of her favorite activities. When she was sixteen, she went on her first hunting trip with her dad. She enjoyed it enough to make it a yearly tradition. These hunting trips are valuable to Lauren because hunting is her favorite hobby, and they give her quality time to catch up with her father. When she’s not hanging out in a tree stand or deer blind, Lauren is an excellent cook. She participated in culinary competitions in High School. Her specialty is desserts and creating beautiful plating designs. Lauren’s favorite quote is, “Success is on the same road as failure; success is just a little further down the road.” Lauren said. “Despite the hardships that I have faced, I wouldn’t take any of them back. With each one, I have learned something valuable that has helped me become the person I am today.” Family is important to Lauren, “My family means so much to me. They are my biggest group of supporters and have always been there for me.” The credit union motto is people helping people. Helping credit union members is what Lauren finds most rewarding about working at WFCU. “What I love most about working at the credit union is seeing our members leave from our branches smiling. Assisting our members and knowing they are happy with their experience gives me a sense of satisfaction.”
