If you don’t need it, it will help speed up payoff of the loan and save you big bucks on interest. Kasasa Loans will be available for auto purchase or re nance, debt consolidation, personal projects, and more starting in 2019. Watch for more updates soon!

Meeting your Financial Goals in 2019 3. Find extra income by saving Cut the cord, drop cable. The average bill hit $103 a month last year. By using streaming options, you can save almost $900/yr. Also, switch your cell phone provider. Credit union members get $100/new line when you switch to Sprint, plus $100 Annual Loyalty Cash. Visit lovemycreditunion.org for details.

4. Have Insurance

Achieving your nancial goals isn’t impossible. These five tips can help: 1. Share plan to get out of debt Telling others about your nancial goals makes you more likely to stick to them. Let a close friend or family member know about your resolution to stick to a budget, then regularly update that person on your progress. Not only will you have more support, but you’ll also feel accountable for staying on track.

2. Save Money Build an emergency fund for unexpected expenses. Plan ahead for putting tax return or holiday gift money to good use. Be diligent and only purchase what you need, not what you want.

Let’s say you get into a fender bender. If you don't have insurance, you could owe money for years if you were at fault and don't have insurance. And remember, it’s often cheaper to buy multiple policies through one carrier instead of buying individual policies from different companies.

5. Plan for retirement The best way to determine your savings target is to use an online calculator. It will help you figure out how much you should accumulate and how much you must set aside in the meantime to reach that target. Be sure to update the calculation each year, so that you can see if you're on track. If your employer offers 401K benefits, sign up! Don't leave any money on the table. Many companies have excellent retirement plans for their employees, but you would be surprised at the number of people who do not sign up, so they can have more income now instead of when it really counts.

Introducing...

2017/18 WAHL Champions

KEVIN STOLZHEISE Accounting Specialist Kevin joined the WFCU team in May, 2015. When asked why he loves working at the credit union, he said “I enjoy nding solutions for any issue a member may be having. I also enjoy the atmosphere of the people I work with closely every day. I speci cally enjoy our Oreo Club where we try all of the new Oreo avors. (Swedish Fish Oreo's… Worst. Oreo. Ever.)

Kevin's friends and family are very important to him and he usually spends a few nights a week visiting with them. When asked what his parents would say was his biggest accomplishment he said, “My parents would say they are proud they raised a son with a heart of gold, who is pretty laid back and can laugh most things off.”

Kevin has also played ice hockey since the age of 8. His claim to fame, “I'm a former pro athlete! A couple years ago, the Rapid City Rush were playing the Wichita Thunder in Wichita. The Rapid City Rush backup goalie was injured and they needed an emergency back-up. I took warm ups with the team and kept the bench warm during the game. It was fun living out a childhood dream of being a goalie on a professional team, even if it only lasted one night. My teammates also get a kick out of saying they are playing with a professional athlete.” Watch for more WFCU team members featured in our upcoming news.
