Treasurer’s Report

Clothing Report
A Clothing report had been e-mailed by Michele Campbell. A clothing deposit for $373 was given to M Jaynes. $311 raised at the Open House. Out of Men’s L tees so will put an order together and get pricing. Will also get pricing for sweatshirts.

S. Hewson stated that the Open House went very well. People came just to sign up. There was no group run as there didn’t seem an appropriate time to start one. 3 dozen bagels was perfect amount. N. Short brought the shirts with her and let the Board see them. She recommends Ben Franklin Ts in Peabody. The game is at Farnham Field, off of Endicott St. in Peabody. She will send out an e-mail with directions. A permit has been secured and copy given to M. Jaynes. There are 23 players and 3 umpires. There are snacks and drinks that members can pay $5 for. Nicole is planning apple picking for Sept., Chili cookoff for Nov. and bowling for January. She will look into free bowling in exchange for sponsorship of the Frosty Four. T. Short explained that he has 1 full team and 5 alternates. Timers will be TR and Nicole. Tim will send one last ramping up e-mail on Wed, teams are due by 6/13. Cost is $200 per team. He will bring the tent and the banner. Tim will mention that this is not an all day event, just 8-1:00ish. Runners should bring a water bottle and sunscreen. M. Campbell stated that there are 283 pre-registered runners, which is 43 more than last year at this time. The next meeting is 6/14. The route needs to be changed again, due to the large number of runners and the street being open. M. Jaynesand S. Hewson offered to run the course with a Garmin to determine the turnaround. NE Running Co is donating the bags. Next year there will be new banners with the run mentioned.

Wicked Kidz Update
S. Hewson stated that the summer outing will take place on Saturday July 30 at 3:00. It will be pot luck, assignment by letters. The Club will purchase meat and buns. Nicole offered to organize the food. M. Campbell stated that this would be the perfect opportunity to give out the Lifetime Member awards. TR will bring propane tanks. R. Tabbut passed around the four winning applications for the Frosty Four scholarships. Kathey Moskal will send letters to the winners as well as those that were not awarded. The Club needs to determine the amount of the scholarship. The winners will also be invited to the Summer Outing. The Wicked Kidz race will be held on July 9. There are 18 volunteers. Treadwell’s is providing the ice cream. M. Jayneswill be dressing up as a cat. Motion to reimburse M.

volunteers could get their run in. North Faceis donating water bottles and will have a table set up. The shirts will be green with a black cat. 300 have been ordered and 50 for the police. Shirts will be printed by Extreme in Lynn. A. Phelan and S. Hewson will be going on the week of 6/20 to scope out the lighting situation at 8:45pm to determine if additional lighting is needed at the finish. The K of C is all set, we paid $250. Miles Applications will be brought to the Louise Rossetti race. The Jennifer Tinny race will be asked if we can put applications in the bags, as that race is in our series. M. Campbell will talk to Harrington Trophy about awards and medals. She needs the specifics and dimensions for what will go on them. S. Hewson received an email from Tom McNosaregarding the Take the Lake race for Cancer on 7/10. Tom asked if Wicked could post the race on our website, FB page, etc. for publicity. Becausewe have a relationship with the NSMCand the Cancer Run/Walk, and becauseTim would like to keep the website for Wicked and Grand Prix races only, this race will not be posted on the website. It could be posted to the FB page, as anyone can post there and runners are free to run whichever races they wish. T. Short explained that the Winni Relay would be held on 9/10/11 and would not interfere with the Wicked Half this year. If teams are registered prior to 7/25, there is a $250 registration fee per team, it is $300 per team after. Tim will promote this race hard, as it is very fun and a great way to meet fellow Wicked members and members of other running clubs. T. Short distributed a flyer on Run @Work Day to be held on 9/16/11 explaining how Wicked could get involved. M. Jayneswill organize a Boston component. T. Short distributed a flyer on the Runner Expo Exhibit Opportunity to be held 8/20 & 8/21 in Gloucester, hosted by the RRCA. Tim would like to have a Wicked table at the expo for 1 or both days. CPRClass– Road ID Organized Runs
Tabled to the July Meeting Shari would like the club to make an effort to have a Board member at each organized run. Stacy Adams has been running the 6:30 Monday night run at Dane Street Beach in Beverly. There should be someone at the Saturday morning run to do the Circle of Love. Mia Poppe purchased cakes, ice cream and sorbet for the Thursday night run last week. S. Hagyard motioned to send Mia a check for $100to cover the cost of these items.
