In the afternoon we head to nearby Kintbury and board the 'Kennet Valley' horse drawn barge for a 2 hour cruise along the beautiful Kennet & Avon Canal. This wide beam passenger boat was purpose built for carrying passengers and is powered solely by the towing action of the horse making for a tranquil journey. Wednesday 29th Arundel - Carpet of Flowers For over 100 years, Arundel Cathedral in West Sussex has celebrated the feast of Corpus Christi with a festival of flowers, which includes a magnificent carpet of flowers in the central aisle of the Cathedral and a procession of the Blessed Sacrament from the Cathedral to the courtyard of Arundel Castle, where Benediction is given. The Carpet of Flowers will be open to public view until celebration of Corpus Christi Mass. No charge for entrance. JUNE Saturday 1st Houses of Parliament Tour Fascinating day out as we travel to Westminster for a guided 75 minute tour which includes the Commons and Lords Chambers, the Queen's Robing Room, the Royal Gallery and Westminster Hall. The tour takes in some of the most important areas of the Palace in which Parliament meets, and explains what Parliament is and does, what it has meant to different people at different times, and how it came to be what it is today. Most of the buildings seen on the tour were built in the mid 19th Century following a devastating fire, but the route also incorporates some of the earlier buildings, such as Westminster Hall. Thursday 20th Kingston upon Thames Kingston upon Thames is an historic market town with attractions old and new. Visitors have long favoured Kingston for its attractive riverside location, proximity to beautiful Royal parks and its excellent shopping. The town was first recorded in an Anglo Saxon Charter in 838 and then in 946, when it became the venue of a number of councils and coronations, cited by King Egbert as 'the Royal town where kings were hallowed'. A great day out and a superb shopping experience. Adults/Over 60 £17.00, Child £10.00 Thursday 20th City of Wells Wells is one of Britain’s secret gems and a fabulous destination for a day out; proof that the country still has much to admire! Sheltered beneath the southern slopes of the Mendip Hills, it combines a wealth of historic interest and beautiful architecture. Wells qualifies as England's smallest, and Somerset's only city because of its amazing 12th century Cathedral. The wells, which gave the city its name, are located within the grounds of the Bishop's Palace, which is still the residence of the Bishop of Bath and Wells. Adults/Over 60 - £23.50, Child - £15.00, NT Member - £15.00 Friday 28th Avebury Rings & Manor House, National Trust The World-famous stone circle and on-site museum at the heart of a prehistoric landscape are a delight for the visitor as, unlike Stonehenge, you can actually touch the stones. In the 1930s, the pretty village of Avebury, partially encompassed by the stone circle of this World Heritage Site, was witness to the excavations of archaeologist Alexander Keiller. Keiller © National Trust opened the museum here to display his findings in the old stable building of Avebury Manor where he lived (Museum extra cost - free for NT members). In re-erecting many of the stones, Keiller uncovered the true wonder of one of the most important megalithic monuments in Europe. You can see his fascinating finds on display in the museum, still housed in the stables but now also in the 17th-century threshing barn. After being collected from your home in the morning (6.00am approx.) we travel to Fishguard in Pembrokeshire with refreshment stop on route before boarding the 2.30pm ferry to Rosslare. Docking at © Tourism Ireland/Roger Kinkead 6.00pm we continue to arrive in the beautiful city of Waterford at around 7.30pm for our overnight stop at the excellent Waterford Marina Hotel. After breakfast we depart the hotel and continue to Killarney, arriving at the hotel late afternoon. A day in Killarney. We transfer by coach to nearby Lough Leane for a boat trip on the lake and afterwards have arranged for a trip on the Jaunting Carts, through the National Park in to town. Extra charge for boat & carts. Two full day excursions with our local guide, covering the spectacular ‘Ring of Kerry’ and ‘The Dingle Peninsula’ made famous by the film ‘Ryan’s Daughter’. After breakfast we depart Killarney and have a stop on route at Blarney Castle where you have a chance to ‘Kiss the Blarney Stone’ before returning to the Waterford Marina Hotel evening meal inc. Departing after breakfast we board the 9.00am ferry from Rosslare arriving in Fishguard at 12.30pm. We have comfort stops as require before arriving back in the local area around 7.00pm and returned to your home.

Leaving the hotel after breakfast we travel through southern France before entering Spain and arriving at our second overnight hotel in Lloret de Mar. The Hotel Olympic Park offers excellent accommodation with a huge choice of food for dinner. (included) Onwards to Benidorm. Arriving at the hotel around 5.00pm Relax, settle into your excellent hotel and enjoy the facilities and happy atmosphere around Benidorm. Sadly we must depart Benidorm and head home. We follow our outward route and arrive at the Hotel Olympic Park Hotel in Lloret de Mar around 5.00pm. (Dinner included)

We travel through France arriving at the Ibis Hotel at Auxerre around 7.30pm (B & B).

We head back to Calais for the late afternoon Eurotunnel crossing. Returning to your home at approximately 9.00pm.
