About Leather
• Leather is a by-product of the food industry, which means that no animals are raised solely for leather production. • All leathers display unique natural markings and variations in color. No two leather hides are the same. Age, heredity, and environment all contribute to the character and price of leather. • Certain types of leather will develop a patina and show wear over time and with use. • Like all natural materials, leather does require some care and maintenance to keep it looking its best.
Since 1926, Smith Brothers of Berne has been combining old-world craftsmanship with the latest technologies to build furniture that is solid, comfortable, and stylish.

Leather Care
• Immediately clean spills with a clean white cloth. • If a stain goes unnoticed and penetrates an aniline leather, use lukewarm distilled water and a soft white cloth to gently massage the stain and the surrounding area. • Most spills on semi-aniline and protected leathers should wipe up with a clean white cloth; use distilled water and a clean white cloth for spills that could potentially stain. • Do not use soap to clean leather. • Vigorously “fluff” the fibers of Nubuck leathers with a suede brush to keep them looking fresh and new. To remove spills, use a clean white cloth dampened with distilled water, and then blot dry. Follow by briskly massaging the area with a suede brush. • Although protected
