design strategy The concept is developed step by step. The unconventional solution of illumination or connecting and shifting the levels enables differentiated spaces with a big living quality. Also the subdivision in small sections makes the use of a high- rise building more enjoyable. These decisions offer the design communication, identity and orientation in a special way.

A Lodge for gorilla tourists in the North of Rwanda is to design. Because of the slope and circulation of the building the cottages have two levels to enable view and privacy. Downstairs the guests are able to sleep and upstairs there is an open living room. A master plan, different cottage typologies and a restaurant with spa was task of the design process in addition.

The open competition shall establish a champagne bar next to the Seine in Paris. The idea to arrange single cubes on different heights creates private spaces and a romantic atmosphere. The different levels can also be used as seats and tables.

A dynamic masterplan for the „Bundesgartenschau 2023“ is the main task of the design. The conversion of military zones to residential areas and a public park is controlled by an accompanying planning process. Existing infrastructure is continued to use. The growth process of plants as well as leisure time facilities modeled like the “Tempelhofer Freiheit” in Berlin are integrated. An autonomous development of the area with an accompanying assistance of the planner is the basic idea.

A change in the education policy of BadenWürttemberg and a social alteration to two working adults raises questions: How has space to change to enable new educational concepts? How can a school offer living quality to the students and include the function of a domicile? Because of these questions the design enables a link of the school use and an accommodation for the pupil. A research of synergy effects was the initial point of the design process.

A landscape park in between of Bad Cannstatt and the Mercedes Benz Arena is to design for the “Masterplan Neckarpark”. A wavy landscape offers differential layers of public and private spaces. The integration of two botany installations fills up the park programmatic. Also the water treatment is improved significant by them. The one structure is like a tree roof and casts shadow. The other structure is a look-out and enables a beautiful view.

A portfolio homepage is there to improve the process of application. An innovative navigation concept highlights the website with a unique feature. A grid with stacked cubes, which are abstractions of the different projects invite the visitor to explore the designs. The projects are structured in architecture and urban planning. Also a CV category shows in a playful way former stations of employment.

The urbanistic master plan „Entwicklungsbereich Oststadt und Oßweil“ is to create the basics for a balanced planning in face of complex conditions. The topic sport shall be improved and be extended at the location. In terms of inner-city development a structural densification is important. The opportunity to establish a mixture of functions all over the area optimizes the neighborhoods.

The discussion about the train station of „Stuttgart 21“ raises the question, if a built architectural utopia can exist in Germany. For this reason and the background of social as well as ecological changes an utopia for the inner city of Stuttgart shall be developed.

For the Südheimer Platz in Stuttgart a sub train station is to design. The basic idea of the design is to use plastic mushrooms cut in half. These collect on the one hand the rain water at one point. On the other hand they establish a formal element which can be reproduced and transferred to many other train stations.

The electro technology company Festo wants to develop an office with a connected visitor area. The “one-room-concept is to separate the work and visitor use by different height settings. On the one side the office use is affiliated. The stairs form a fan and enable a circuit for exhibition visitors.

The basic idea is a strict separation of public and private areas of the hotel. For this reason all public uses are arranged horizontal at the ground floor and are carved in the slope. Every level of the tower has only one hotel room to guarantee exclusivity, privacy and an extraordinary view in the direction of the Mediterranean Sea. The terrace follows the slope and is flexed. Thereby more area to lie is generated.

The traditional urban planning is to be turned in this project. In the ordinary case the planning is from big to small. In this case a small module, consisting of linear and point buildings, was designed at first. These dwelling units are arranged around a little yard. Because of different openings, carpets and plants the yards generate different levels of privacy.
