Mindfulness means paying attention on purpose, in the present moment.

Being Present

What mindfulness is not.....  Positive thinking  Relaxation  Trance  Blanking your mind  A tool to ‘fix’ things  Getting it right or wrong

 Observe: Noticing  Describe: Put words on the experience  Participate: Enter into the experience and

practice  Non Judgmentally: See but don’t evaluate  One Mindfully: One thing at a time  Effectively: Focus on what works

Practice....... ď‚— Formal: Intentionally taking time out in your day

to embark on meditative practice.

ď‚— Informal: Going into a focused and meditative

state of mind whilst going about daily activities such as cooking, cleaning, working, driving, walking.

The secret of health for both mind and body is not to mourn for the past, worry about the future or anticipate troubles, but to live in the present moment wisely and earnestly. Buddha
