THE VISUAL BENEFITS OF CAPTIVATE™ LENSES ENHANCED COLOR CAPTIVATE™ filters out confusing light where blue merges with green and green merges with red. ANSI EXPLAINED ANSI (American National Standards Institute) approves standards submitted by established committees in any given industry. Wiley X is proud to be a part of 3 separate ANSI committees and has a key role in the development and continued evolution of these standards. ANSI Z87.1 is the American National Standard for Occupational and Education Personal Eye and Face Protection Devices. It contains performance specifications, and markings of eye and facial safety products — setting the standards they must meet for protection and optical clarity. Products in this category include spectacles, goggles and face shields (among others).

ANSI HIGH MASS IMPACT TEST Wiley X ANSI-rated frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a 1.1lb. projectile dropped from a height of 50" to ensure your eyes are protected from unexpected blunt force impacts.
ANSI HIGH VELOCITY IMPACT TEST Wiley X ANSI-rated frames and lenses must withstand the impact of a .25" diameter steel ball. For spectacles the projectile must be traveling 150fps and for a goggle 250fps.
V0 BALLISTICS Several Wiley X eyewear models are tested to V0 ballistics which consists of a spectacle frame and lens being impacted with a .15 caliber projectile traveling 640-660 fps, or a goggle frame and lens with a .22 caliber projectile traveling 550-560 fps. Wiley X eyewear models that are part of the Authorized Protective Eyewear List (APEL) are tested to the Alpha version of the V0 ballistics standard which consists of a spectacle frame and lens being impacted with a .15 caliber projectile traveling 700-725fps, or a goggle frame and lens with a .22 caliber projectile traveling 580-590fps. Both tests are meant to simulate shrapnel that may be encountered on the battlefield.

PRODUCT WARRANTY NON-PRESCRIPTION WILEY X, INC. EYEWEAR has a limited lifetime warranty covering any and all manufacturing defects in material and workmanship. YOUTH FORCE® AND WORKSIGHT® EYEWEAR is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years. NON-PRESCRIPTION JOHN DEERE® AND DVX™ EYEWEAR is warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 1 year. (John Deere® warranty applies to USA and Canada only). PHOTOCHROMIC LIGHT ADJUSTING™ LENSES are warranted against defects in materials or workmanship for a maximum period of 18 months (proof of purchase for Photochromic Light Adjusting™ lenses is required). GLOVES are warranted to be free of manufacturing defects in material or workmanship for a maximum period of 2 years. SCOPE OF COVERAGE: Wiley X will repair or replace covered items at the sole discretion of Wiley X, as needed and as available (identical or equivalent style) at no charge. Out of warranty items may be repaired (if repairable), replaced, returned, or destroyed, at the option and sole expense of the purchaser. EXCLUSIONS: This warranty does NOT extend to and excludes: a) any and all Wiley X products purchased through any non-authorized 3rd party websites, dealers or labs b) damage resulting from normal wear and tear, including but not limited to scratched lenses and broken frames, hinges, and nose pieces c) damage resulting from abuse or misuse, d) damage resulting from tampering or customer modification e) damage resulting from exposure to harmful substances, elements or conditions f ) other damage to covered items not resulting from a manufacturing defect in materials or workmanship as Wiley X shall decide in its sole discretion, or g) lost or stolen items
PRESCRIPTION WARRANTY The following prescription (RX) warranty extends to Wiley X, Inc., HarleyDavidson®, DVX™, and John Deere® eyewear. RX WARRANTY: Prescription orders processed through Wiley X, Inc. will have a two (2) year warranty from the date of purchase on frames and lenses deemed by Wiley X, Inc. to have manufacturing defects. Prescriptions filled by non-authorized labs will void all Wiley X, Inc. frame and lens warranties. Prescription frame and lens warranties must be handled through the local retailer / dispensing optician from which they were originally purchased. SCRATCH/COATING WARRANTY: Wiley X, Inc. will provide a one (1) time scratch redo for lenses with frontal surface scratches due to normal wear for one (1) year from the date of purchase. If a coating was purchased (anti-reflective, anti-scratch, anti-fog, or a mirror) the warranty is extended to a one (1) time redo within two (2) years from the date of purchase. The customer will receive eyewear in the identical form (same frame, lenses, prescription, etc.) DOCTOR REMAKE: A one (1) time doctor remake on Wiley X, Inc. made prescription lenses is permitted within a forty-five (45) day period from the original order date. The dealer will be charged in full for the remake then will subsequently receive a credit when the original prescription glasses are returned to the Wiley X, Inc. Prescription Department. Original orders must be returned within thirty (30) days of the remake order. All doctor remakes will be billed a $10.00 shipping fee.

PRESCRIPTION WARRANTY continued RX CHANGES/CANCELED ORDERS: If the lenses are not in process, prescription changes and order cancellations will be accepted at no charge. Any requests made after a customer order has been put in process will be charged at 50% of the dealer cost. NON-ADAPTS: Dealer will have forty-five (45) days to return a prescription order that is deemed “non-adapt” by their customer. In this instance, the dealer will receive a full refund on the frame and 50% credit on the RX lenses and coatings. No credit or refund will be issued for non-adapts submitted after forty-five (45) days. LAB ERRORS: In the event of lab error, prescription lenses will be replaced at no cost within a forty-five (45) day period of the original order date. Redo will be credited upon receipt of original frame and lenses. PATIENT OWNED FRAME (POF): Wiley X, Inc. accepts POF orders, however, frames must pass Wiley X, Inc. quality inspection. Prior to sending the POF, please verify that the prescription and the measurements are within the tolerance of the Wiley X, Inc. RX Frame Parameters. Please remove any existing prescription or non-prescription lenses from the frame prior to shipping. Wiley X, Inc. will not provide any warranty or be held responsible for any lost or damaged lenses on previous prescriptions sent in with a frame. DISCONTINUED PRODUCTS: Wiley X, Inc. will not RX frames that have been discontinued for longer than six (6) months. SHIPPING: Please package your POF and/or return product securely and use a traceable carrier. Wiley X, Inc. is not responsible for packages lost or damaged during transit caused by carrier or any outside factor. PLEASE NOTE: Due to the nature of a high wrapped frame and in order to achieve superior optical quality, prescription lenses will be compensated accordingly with the consideration of wrap angle, tilt, and vertex distance to be customized to fit your customer’s vision needs. This may result in prescription power differential from the one your eye care professional has prescribed. Please do not hesitate to call the Wiley X, Inc. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES Returns and exchanges will not be accepted without receiving prior authorization to include an assigned return authorization number. For every one item returned, at least one item must be purchased. Returns must be in resalable condition, as determined by Wiley X for product not discontinued longer than six months. All returns must be shipped prepaid from point of origin, unless prior arrangements have been made. No COD returns accepted. New orders resulting from exchanges will be shipped upon receipt of returned merchandise unless other arrangements have been made with Wiley X. Customers are responsible for all shipping charges, both inbound and outbound. Returns should be sent to the attention of the RETURN DEPARTMENT.
