Join the boat at Ambleside, Brockhole or Bowness and sail south to Lakeside (see timetable overleaf). On arrival at Lakeside your dedicated bus will be waiting to transfer you to the Motor Museum (Bus transfer 5 mins approx). Alternatively your journey may AT LAKELAND MOTOR MUSEUM start and finish at Lakeside or the Museum.

After visiting the Museum why not sit back, relax and enjoy the stunning views over the River Leven and the delights on offer at Café Ambio, before retracing your steps to your starting point. Boat and bus operates every hour throughout the day. See overleaf for combined fares.

BY CAR - M6 traffic use Junction 36. Follow signs for South Lakes and for Windermere Lake Cruises A590 to Lakeside, or follow A591 for Bowness and Ambleside.

LAkeSide (LA12 8AS) - 300 spaces within just a few metres of our piers and up to 10 hours parking for just £3.50. N.B. Passengers wishing to include Steam Train from Haverthwaite should note there are an additional 150 spaces at Haverthwaite station. BoWneSS (LA23 3HQ) See map (inset) to long stay car park at Braithwaite Fold - 600 spaces. Pay the all day parking tariff and we will refund £2.00 when purchasing a return boat trip to Ambleside, Lakeside or Freedom of the Lake ticket. Present voucher portion of car park ticket to our ticket offices for a refund. AMBLeSide PieR (LA22 0eY) - 200 spaces close to pier. BY TRAin (national Rail Services) - Train services to Windermere operate via Oxenholme. Oxenholme Station is situated on the mainline between London and Glasgow. The 599 bus service operates approximately every 20 minutes throughout the day and departs directly outside Windermere Railway Station to Bowness Promenade. For times and dates of operation see www.traveline.info BY BuS - Stagecoach operates the X6 service that links Barrow, Ulverston, Grange and Kendal. The 6 service links Barrow, Ulverston, Bowness and Windermere.The X6 and 6 service call at Newby Bridge, which is just a 1 mile walk to Lakeside. Alternatively they call at Haverthwaite where the steam train begins its journey to Lakeside. The 599 service links Grasmere, Rydal and Ambleside Pier. Haverthwaite, Bowness Pier, Windermere and Ambleside are served by the 800 Bike Bus. See www.traveline.info
