What will you do with your popcorn? Let’s make this a month when we ask that neighbor, friend, or coworker to pop in for a visit to Winstanley. I’m thankful that our GAs, RAs, and Mission Friends have reminded us to reach out and invite others to church. There are at least a couple of things that should motivate us to follow through on giving that popcorn away. One is that we want to share the love of Jesus with those around us. We desire that people hear the gospel, trust in Christ, and find a church home. Another factor to consider is that we want to be faithful stewards of the time, creativity, and effort that went into making those invitations. I can picture our children not only working on them, but easily and unhesitatingly giving them away. We would do well to become like a child in this manner. Speaking of children, you should leave them with the youth on March 17 from 5:30-8:30 pm. That’s right. Just drop them off at church, and we’ll take care of them for a few hours. Please relax. There will be adults here to help with the childcare! This is an opportunity for parents to have a date night, and to let our youth (along with some adults) serve by watching the kids. Please contact me if you plan on taking advantage of this opportunity. Fielding
Pastor Search Congregational Survey

The Pastor Search Committee distributed a Congregational Survey in all Sunday School classes and in each of the worship services on February 18. Surveys have also been mailed to individuals on our rolls who are not currently attending services. Please prayerfully answer the questions in this survey as we seek your input (each family member should complete an individual survey) regarding the qualities you feel should be primary in the search for a new pastor. We would like a response from every individual affiliated with Winstanley, whether a member or not. If you have not received a survey, please call the church office or pick one up in the foyer next Sunday. Please drop your completed survey in the box in the foyer or mail it to the church before March 18. The Pastor Search Committee continues to seek an interim pastor for this transitional period and appreciate the work of the Deacons in finding supply preachers in the meantime. Please keep the search committee and Winstanley in your prayers during this crucial period in the life of our church.

From the Church Library….. The Note, by Angela Hunt. Pan World Flight 848, en route from New York’s LaGuardia Airport to Tampa International, bursts into flames and crashes into Tampa Bay. All 261 passengers and crew were killed. Only a note, sealed in a plastic bag, survived. This is a powerful telling of God’s love and forgiveness. The Note will help heal the hearts of every parent, child and seeker. Undetected, by Dee Henderson. Commander Mark Bishop is deliberately low-key: “I’m in the Navy”. But commanding the ballistic missile submarine USS Nevada, keeping her crew trained and alert during 90 days submerged patrols, and being prepared to launch weapons on valid presidential orders, carries a burden of command like few other jobs in the military.
