Why is a balanced market good? Understanding the balance
Heather Field joined Windermere Chambers Bay in August of 2022 with five years of experience. She is a local gal spending her childhood in Gig Harbor, but now calls University Place home where she lives with her husband and three kids. Heather recently completed her first Full Marathon and we are so proud of all of her accomplishments! Here is her journey to 26 2 miles
"Growing up, I was one of the slowest runners on my track team. I started running a few half marathons over the past decade as a way to get healthy and take time for myself when my kids were young. I looked to the “serious runners” on race day with admiration but never placed myself in that category I even bought myself a race day shirt that said, “World’s Okayest Runner”
In August, 2022 I completed my first half marathon in a long time and walked to the finish line, with a final time of 2:58. I knew I was capable of more and wanted to prove that to my kids and myself. I changed my mentality around running and I would no longer settle for anything less than feeling pride in my accomplishments
The next month, I ran another half marathon and finished at 2:25! A personal record In November, I ran another half, and finished at 2:02. With the momentum going, I signed up for the Arizona Rock n’ Roll marathon knowing I have everything it takes inside of me - physically and mentally. When my body felt like it couldn’t push harder, my mind and heart pushed back that much more. I completed my full marathon in 4.5 hours, and I am PROUD of that accomplishment Only 1% of the world runs a marathon and of that 1%, less than 50% has a finishing time of 4 5 hours!
I’m now coaching young girls through "Girls on the Run" to build confidence and to learn how to empower themselves and run a 5k race before the age of 12, reminding have everything they need inside of them to succeed."

HILL DAY 2023
WHAT IS HILL DAY?
Personal meetings with elected officials is one of the most effective ways to propose challenges and needs within a given field or industry Organizing a Hill Day creates the opportunity for a unified group to provide members of Congress and state and local officials with critical information to influence their policy decisions. Many local groups, organizations, and industries participate in their own Hill Day.
For the Real Estate Industry, this is an annual event where realtors from across the State gather in Olympia, WA to meet with their legislators and discuss issues of importance to the real estate industry The event typically includes meetings with members of Congress and their staff, as well as educational sessions and networking opportunities. The goal of Hill Day is to give realtors a chance to share their perspectives on key issues, such as housing affordability and mortgage finance, and to advocate for policies that support home-ownership and the real estate industry.
January 19, 2023 Hill Day
This Year we had three REALTORS® from our office attending Hill Day: Tor Patsiga, Elizabeth Foster, and Byron Pullen. They are all residents in Washington's 28 Legislative District and therefore, had the opportunity to meet with both Rep. Dan Bronoske and Rep. Mari Leavitt to discuss current house and senate bills

Not a Buyers or Sellers Market. A balanced market benefits everyone Who you work with matters.
The great balancing act
Why is a balanced market good?
When neither party has the advantage all things are negotiable.
Contracts are best served with fair and open negotiation where neither party benefits over another. Buyers still want to buy and Sellers still want to sell. Each has their own personal reason to get the transaction to the finish line. So in the spirit of open, equitable, unbiased negotiation, never let your negotiation sticking point come down to one thing. It's good to remember their are people on both sides with their own issues, needs and concerns.
Who you work with matters! Contract knowledge and negotiation skills are imperative in this market.
