Battle Bots Workshop

STEM Inventions

Let’s get creative! In this class, students will learn about important inventions throughout history as they build their own replicas. Starting with the wheel and ending with the drone, students will learn the basics of engineering and robotics. Chess Club

Each week students will enjoy an engaging lesson with supervised time to play with classmates. Students will grow their knowledge of the game — from the basics through opening theory, middle game tactics, and end game combinations. Children will learn problem-solving, responsibility, sportsmanship, social skills, and more! The chess program is open to all playing levels.

Etiquette 101

Tea with Mrs. B NEW!

Students will learn proper table etiquette and have loads of fun while enjoying tea with Mrs. B! In this hands-on class, children will decorate cookies/snacks and then enjoy their creations while drinking fruit tea. Students will also learn when to say please and thank you.

Come and learn how to become a star at the table! Children learn how to set the table for a three-course meal and use the appropriate cutlery. We focus on posture, poise, greetings, introductions, voice level, and when to leave a party with appreciation and farewells. And, of course, we will touch on following-up with a thank you note! Appropriate cell phone use is discussed. No food is used during this program. Business casual dress is required. No jeans or tennis shoes.

Children will learn posture, poise, greetings, introductions, voice level, and when to leave a party with appreciation and farewells. And, of course, we will touch on following-up with a thank you note! We will do skits to learn the appropriate use of the Internet, emails, screen usage, cell phone use, and behavior in public areas. No food is used during this program. Business casual dress is required. No jeans or tennis shoes.

ARTS & CRAFTS

Kreative Krafts

This class combines all your favorite arts and crafts projects and mixed media! Students will make tie-dye shirts (to be used as art smocks for the program), paint a canvas (with acrylic paints), create recycled art, paint pottery, and more! Lessons will include concepts and techniques for all projects. Finished work will be taken home. Projects are done individually; there are no shared supplies.
