Winnetka Community House is thrilled to announce that as of July 1, we have launched a new online registration system. We will now be working with ActiveNet to provide a more robust, easier to use and faster system to register for all of your family’s activities at WCH.
To register, visit us at winnetkacommunityhouse.org and click Register Now. You’ll switch to our registration site where you’ll be able to view and sign up for activities, memberships and more! Before registering, you’ll need to need to create a new account (Unfortunately, accounts on our previous system were not carried over unless you have a Household Membership).
6 Online Registration FALL 2014
To start your account, just click “Create an Account” in the upper right hand corner. Follow the steps to enter your information and you can then choose to add family members to your account. Once you’re finished you will receive a verification email from Winnetka Community House. Click the link in the verification email, and you’ll be ready to register for activities!
If you know what activities you’re looking for, you can just type them into the search bar. If not, you can choose from categories in the Activities dropdown menu at the top, or “See All Activities.” The new Activity Search lets you narrow your search by day of the week, time of day, age group or even instructor.
Once you find what you’re looking for, just click “Add to cart” and select which family member will be participating. You can keep shopping or proceed to checkout.
If you haven’t signed up for a WCH Household Membership, you can do this anytime before you check out. Just click the Membership button on the front page or on the navigation bar of any page. You can also add a Household Membership from your shopping cart. You’ll automatically have access to early registration and discounted rates for WCH Members.
One great new feature is the Wish List. You can now search for your family’s activities before registration begins, and click “Add to Wish List” for activities you’re interested in. Then when registration opens, you can add items from your Wish List to your Shopping cart and sign up in seconds!
The My Account page gives you access to a great deal of information. You can view activity schedules for the whole family, see transactions, add or edit family member information or manage payment details. You can also donate directly to Winnetka Community House via the “Donations” button. As you may know, Winnetka Community House is completely privately funded and receives no tax dollars. FINE ARTS The Joy of Creativity: Stories, Art & Play
Amazing Art Carole Pearlman
Sunshine Arts And Crafts
Amazing Art combines all your favorite art projects and mixed media in one unique class. Kids will make tie dye shirts (to be used as art smocks for the session), experience pottery painting, create fired ceramic arts, paint a canvas acrylic painting, do recycled arts projects and more. Lessons will include concepts and techniques kids can use for a lifetime and the experience of creating awesome projects will result in great self esteem and a sense of accomplishment. Finished work will be taken home immediately. This is a drop off program. All new lessons are offered each session.
Stories, Art & Play is a preschool/kindergarten program where children use a variety of mixed-media materials to create their individual expressive artwork. At the beginning of each class students have the opportunity to free draw from their own imagination. A story is read from a wonderfully illustrated children’s book to begin each lesson. Famous artists are also introduced along with materials and the creative process begins. In this mixed media class, we will use watercolors, tempera paint, oil pastels and more! Winnetka Community House is committed to conducting its recreation programs and activities in the safest manner possible, and holds the safety of the participants in the highest possible regard. Participants and parents registering their child in recreation programs must recognize, however, that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in recreation activities. Winnetka Community House continually strives to reduce such risks, and insists that all participants follow safety rules and instructions which have been designed to protect the participants’ safety. Please recognize that Winnetka Community House does not carry medical accident insurance for injuries sustained in its programs. The cost of such would make program fees prohibitive.
