Since 1911 Winnetka Community House (WCH) has provided a nurturing space to further the missions of a variety of organizations that reside under its roof. We foster new not-for-profit organizations and provide a long-term home to others at belowmarket rates. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit, WCH receives no tax dollars to fund our activities. Our donors make it all happen. The renowned Children’s Theatre of Winnetka (CTW) teaches children all aspects of theater production, not just performing. CTW also invites students from city schools to witness first-hand the wonders of live theater performances.

The Fitness Centre unveiled entirely new strength and functional training exercise equipment which has been enthusiastically received by users.

The Antiques + Modernism Show is our largest fundraiser and most popular event. We are blessed with a Woman’s Board that consists of nearly 60 talented, enthusiastic members who have brought great energy and new ideas to the Show.

Theater Events: Sold out – a Toby Nicholson-directed A Christmas Carol and our very own Children’s Theater of Winnetka (CTW) offerings: Mary Poppins (fall) and The Sound of Music (spring). Each year, this prestigious troupe offers children the chance to discover their talents and establish their stage presence in a full-fledged Broadway-style production.

Winnetka Community House’s Board of Governors’ April fundraiser, The Second City Improv All-Stars played to a capacity crowd in Matz Hall.

The newly renovated Garden Rooms opened in 2016, overlooking the beautiful Arches Gardens. They are among the loveliest rooms on the North Shore available for private parties and public gatherings.

We partnered with the Kohl’s Children’s Museum to house a month-long, interactive Chagall for Children art exhibit that garnered local and national media coverage.

The Community House provided over $250,000 of free or discounted services and space to other non-profit and civic organizations over the past year.
