Winnipeg Jets: Head Coach and Player Bios Head Coach: Paul Maurice Paul Maurice, 52, is in his seventh season as head coach of the Winnipeg Jets after being appointed to the position on January 12, 2014. Under Maurice, the Jets have gone 272-190-54, for a .579 points percentage. He has the most wins by a head coach in franchise history. Maurice became the second-youngest NHL coach to earn 500 wins after a 8-2 victory over Florida on January 13, 2015. He became the youngest head coach to reach 1,500 games on Feb. 5, 2019 in a 3-2 overtime loss to the San Jose Sharks. Maurice won his 700th game October 20, 2019 vs. Edmonton (1-0 SOW). Maurice, who coached in his 1,600th NHL game on Mar. 11, 2020 against Edmonton, has earned a career NHL coaching record of 732-646-221 in 22 seasons with the Carolina Hurricanes/Hartford Whalers, Toronto Maple Leafs and Jets. He won his 600th career NHL game when the Jets defeated the Minnesota Wild on Oct. 20, 2017. On Nov. 28, 2010, he became the 19th coach, and the youngest in history, to coach 1,000 NHL games.

Calgary Flames: Head Coach and Player Bios Head Coach: Geoff Ward Geoff Ward was named as the Flames 20th Head Coach on September 14, 2020 after serving as the interim Head Coach last season. Ward joined the Flames in 2018 as an associate coach after spending three seasons with New Jersey as their assistant coach. He started his NHL career with Boston as an assistant coach in 2007 where he spent seven seasons including winning the Stanley Cup in 2011 and another finals appearance in 2013. Ward began his coaching career as an asst. coach at the U. of Waterloo before moving on to junior hockey, first as an asst. coach with Niagara Falls (1991-92) of the OHL, then head coach with Waterloo (1992-93), Kitchener (1993-98) and Guelph (1998-99). He made the jump to the AHL in 2001-02 as both an asst. coach and head coach of the Hamilton Bulldogs until 2002-03 then moved with the Oilers AHL affiliate to Toronto in 2003-04. Ward also has three coaching stints in Germany, winning the DEL Championship in 2015. He was also an asst. for the German National Team.
