The Jets play 56 games against the six other Canadian teams as part of the NHL’s Scotiabank North Division.

The Jets play 10 games against the Toronto Maple Leafs and Ottawa Senators, while they have nine games against the Calgary Flames, Edmonton Oilers, Montreal Canadians, and Vancouver Canucks.

This is the first time the Jets start a season at home since Oct. 4/17 vs. TOR (7-2 L).

This is the fifth time the Jets begin the season against a Canadian team (Oct. 9/11 vs. MTL 5-1 L; Jan. 19/13 vs. OTT 4-1 L; Oct. 1/13 at EDM 5-4 W; Oct. 4/17 vs. TOR 7-2 L).

Winnipeg plays three of their first four games on the road before staying at Bell MTS Place for a season-high seven game road trip.

Five of Winnipeg’s first 12 games are against Calgary, including four consecutive games from Feb. 1-9.

Winnipeg’s first four games against Calgary are at Bell MTS Place, while the last five are at the Scotiabank Saddledome.

The Jets and Flames only met once last regular season when Winnipeg won 2-1 in overtime at the 2019 NHL Heritage Classic in Regina.

Paul Stastny leads all active NHL players in career scoring against the Flames with 65 points (27G, 38A) in 57 games.

While playing for the Vegas Golden Knights, Stastny had three points (2G, 1A) in three games against the Flames last season.

Recap: The Jets were eliminated from the 2020 Stanley Cup Playoffs with a 4-0 loss to the Flames in Game 4 of their best-of-five qualifier series. Connor Hellebuyck stopped 30 of the 32 shots he faced, including all 19 he saw in the second period. Kyle Connor led the Jets with six shots, while Neal Pionk had a team-leading five hits. Blake Wheeler won 14 of his 21 face-offs.
