Kyle Palmieri was one of nine Islanders to find the scoresheet last night, recording an assist. Zach Parise is one of four Islanders to have worn the "C" for an NHL team in his career (Chara, Greene, Lee). He recorded his first points as an Islander (2a) last night in Montreal. Adam Pelech leads the Islanders in plus-minus with a +7 rating through seven games. Ryan Pulock has appeared in 259 straight games for NYI, 2nd longest ironman streak by a D-man in NYI history (D. Potvin, 262). Ilya Sorokin made 36 saves on 38 shots last night, to help the Islanders extend their point streak to eight games. He is the only goalie left in the NHL to have started every game for the Islanders this season. Semyon Varlamov recorded a career-high seven shutouts last season and is the only Islanders goaltender in club history to own three consecutive shutouts. Oliver Wahlstrom, 21, is the youngest player on the Islanders' roster. He scored his fifth goal in eight games last night in Montreal. He and Brock Nelson (later in the game) were the first to do so since Anders Lee in 2017-18. TOI LEADERS Record when that player leads the team in TOI - Mathew Barzal (0-0-1) - Anthony Beauvillier (0-1-0) - Zdeno Chara (1-0-0)
- Adam Pelech (1-0-0) - Ryan Pulock (2-1-1)
