Seguin is riding a four game point streak (3 4 7) against the Jets and has points (7 7 14) in seven straight home games against them.

The 30 year old has played more games vs. Winnipeg than any other opponent and has the most goals (27) against any team he's faced

Dallas Stars: Media Notes

Among active NHL skaters, Seguin ranks third in goals, and second in power-play tallies (13) and power-play points (26) against the Jets.

Captain Jamie Benn ranks second on the club with 40 points (18-22 40) in 38 career contests vs. Winnipeg, a points-per-game average of 1.05.

Benn also ranks second among active Stars in power-play goals (8), power-play points (20) and shots on goal (120).

Benn has goals in four of his past five games against Winnipeg (4-4 8) and has logged points (5-4 9) in six of the previous seven games against them.

Forward Denis Gurianov is riding a four-game point streak (3-2 5) against the Jets and has six points (3-3 6) in eight career games against Winnipeg.

Goaltender Jake Oettinger is undefeated in two career appearances against Winnipeg, going 2-0 with a 2.42 goals-against average and .911 save percentage.

THIS ISN'T FLYING, IT'S FALLING WITH STYLE

The last time these two teams played against one another, forward Jason Robertson became the fourth player in Stars/North Stars history to cap a regular season hat trick with an overtime goal and the first to do so since the club relocated to Dallas.

Robertson's game winner came with 30 seconds remaining in OT, a partial breakaway at the end of a shift that ended with him coming to a stop in the corner flat on his back

His hat trick gave him 97 points in 100 career NHL games. Only eight active players had more through their first 100 career games: Sidney Crosby (132), Alex Ovechkin (128), Evgeni Malkin (114), Kirill Kaprizov (112), Connor McDavid (108), Paul Stastny (100), Mathew Barzal (99) and Elias Pettersson (98).

The 23 year old has five goals (5 0 5) and a +5 rating in four career games against the Jets.

THE SHARP HINTZ OF NEW TEARS

Forward Roope Hintz (2 1 3) scored his sixth career shorthanded goal at the 4:46 mark of the first period on Saturday as part of a multi goal performance.

The 25 year old has points (2 2 4) in each of his first two games this season and is plus 4 over that span.

Hintz finished the 2021 22 season ranked second on the Stars in goals (37) and third in points (72), both new career highs. He also established a new career high and ranked fourth on the club in assists (35).

The Tampere, Finland native set a career high for shorthanded goals in a season during the 2021 22 campaign with three. Additionally, the forward ranked tied for seventh in the NHL with a team leading three shorthanded goals, while he ranked second on Dallas with seven game winning goals and third with nine power play tallies, also posting new career highs in each category. Hintz wrapped up the 2021 22 campaign by registering 14 goals and 23 points over his final 22 games of the regular season dating back to March 20. His 14 goals over that span were tied for third in the NHL, just one back of Steven Stamkos and Kirill Kaprizov who each netted 15 goals.

“JOHNNY” B. GOOD

With a goal in the season opener on Oct. 13, forward Wyatt Johnston became the youngest player in Dallas Stars history (1993 present) to score a goal in his NHL debut (19 years, 151 days) and second youngest in franchise history (1967 present) with at least one goal in his NHL debut, behind Dave Archibald (18 years, 179 days on Oct. 10, 1987). Mike Modano (19 years, 120 days on Oct. 5, 1989) scored in his first regular season NHL game but had debuted during the Stanley Cup Playoffs.

In his Stars debut on Thursday in Nashville, forward Mason Marchment opened the scoring just 2:31 into the game. The 27 year old scored the fourth fastest goal by a Stars/North Stars player from the start of their franchise debut, behind Bob Barlow (1:08 on Oct. 11, 1969), Mattias Janmark (1:39 on Oct. 8, 2015) and Warren Peters (2:22 on Nov. 21, 2009).

Marchment became the seventh player in franchise history to score multiple goals in his Stars/North Stars debut, following Mark Parrish (3 G on Nov. 7, 2008), Fabian Brunnstrom (3 G on Oct. 15, 2008), Jaromir Jagr (2 G on Jan. 19, 2013), Dave Archibald (2 G on Oct. 10, 1987), Marc Habscheid (2 G on Jan. 27, 1986) and Jean Potvin (2 G on Nov. 1, 1978).
