Poking nasty fun at the Bush Administration, action movies and itself, WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION is a heart-warming story of John Lincoln, a blaxploitation actor who finds himself out of work due to his participation in his son's grade-school anti-war protest in the winter of 2003. As his fortunes plummet and the President increases pressure to invade Iraq, Lincoln naively decides to draw on his past experience in the Special Ops Forces, and travel

to Iraq to rid the world of Saddam Hussein himself - and thus avert a disastrous war. Through a series of misadventures, he manages to dispose of Saddam, but that's when things get weird. Lincoln returns to the United States and is personally invited to Camp David by President George W. Bush, himself. But during a weenie roast at a Camp David campsite, George W. reveals a terrible international secret to Lincoln, something that causes him to fight for his life!

NO BUDGET FILMMAKING! Producer DAVID K. BROWN organizes the production of WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION on zero dollars with the help of two phones and a borrowed offi ce space.

of 2003, casting a wide net among Los Angeles’ talented pool of actors and actresses. Casting went on for over six weeks and as July rolled around, the fi lmmakers were anxious to start into production. What was to follow was 7 weeks of concentrated fi lming – with breaks being called whenever cast members had auditions or more lucrative work. Locations and sets were improvised as needed. By the end of August, the project had shot over 40 hours of material and it was time to begin editing. The picture was cut in seven weeks and sound work began. A series of delays pushed the completion of the project until March of 2004. But as of midsummer, WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION is fi nally ready to be discovered! Who cares if the streets of Baghdad look like Echo Park, Camp David appears as a lonely campsite with three pup tents (and the surrounding woods bear more than a slight resemblance to the dry, scrubby hills around Dodgers Stadium), or that the inside of the CIA plane that fl ies Lincoln home shares interior design similarities with a Toyota Mini-Van? With the tight control of the media these days, this no-budget approach is clearly the only way, a politically sensitive fi lm like WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION could ever get made. Why not celebrate it!? For more details on the making of the fi lm, please check out the offi cial website: www.weaponofmassdestruction.net

Production Notes WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION is a prime example of nobudget fi lmmaking; making up in spirit and creativity for whatever it may lack in “production values.” The fi lm was written in four days -- in the week following the Invasion of Iraq — as an effort to tell a story from the perspective of the everyday American’s experience of the build-up to the Iraq War. At that time, no mainstream production company in America had the courage to confront the political hot potato of the Iraq War, but the makers of WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION, boldly exercised their freedom of speech – speaking out with passion, feeling and irreverent humor in a grass-roots, home-style, movie-project. WOMD was made for less than $3000 with a crew of two people and a cast of 60 actors and actresses (!!!) While the story takes place in Los Angeles, the oil fi elds and marketplaces of Iraq, CIA headquarters and the woods of Camp David — the project was shot almost entirely in a fi fty foot radius of the director’s kitchen – in his driveway, backyard, garage, living room, bedroom, hallway and front door — using large cardboard sheets harvested from area dumpsters to create the sets. Indeed, it is perhaps the most elaborate home-video ever attempted. WEAPON OF MASS DESTRUCTION began pre-production in May

A FAMILY FILM? Director TONY JACOBS works sound as his eleven-yearold son, JESSE, operates a house fan for special effects. Cameraman HARRY CHARALAMBOUS uses the streetlight as a lighting source.

Undercover CIA operative, “Habib” (Luis Fernandez-Gil) makes a shocking discovery, “They’re... WHAT!?!”
