Join us Saturday June 9th from 12-3pm to celebrate Julie Spiedel’s most recent book release. The artist will be in attendance and available for discussion. Sculptor, painter and print maker Julie Speidel embraces geological and universal forms to create a visual language that honors traditions throughout human cultures. The Center Holds is an encompassing catalog of works created over the last four decades. This exhibition features a selection of vibrant bronzes, robust glass and stone works and delicate works on paper to accompany the release of this new book, published in association with the Tacoma Art Museum. Julie Speidel’s sculptures are included in many prestigious private and public collections in the U.S. and abroad, including the Tacoma Art Museum, three United States Embassies, the Oracle Collection, the Boeing Collection and the Nordstrom Collection.
