Identifies the Ultraviolet Protection Factor of each garment. The UPF rating indicates the ratio of time that a garment will protect the average skin from burning.

These garments are constructed from fabric which has been treated with a flame retardant solution.

All garments identified as High Visibility comply with AS/NZS 1906.4:1997 which covers the physical and visual characteristics of the fabric or retroreflective material used in a garment, and AS/NZS 4602:1999, which governs the amount and configuration of these fabrics used in a garment. Together these standards determine whether a garment meets High Visibility requirements, and identifies its appropriateness for day time use only, night time use only, or both day and night time use.
