Cru's wine tastings offer a fun, informal way of trying new wines
Do you find yourself gravitating towards the same bottle of wine time and time again? Do you like the idea of trying new things, but it seems too risky to waste money on something you might not like? Don't worry, you aren't alone!
Many of us feel overwhelmed with choosing wine. There are so many to choose from: different grapes, regions, styles. And unlike when choosing foods, the labels on wines often add to the confusion. a restaurant, there’s the risk you won’t like what you have chosen. It’s incredibly disappointing when you reach for your well-deserved glass of wine and you don’t like it. Even though many of us won’t pour it away we feel we have wasted our money and should have just stuck to 'the usual'.
If you think you’d like to take a step into becoming a wine explorer, but don’t know where to start, why not join one of our monthly online wine tastings? Our aim is to travel the world through wine, so we choose a different theme each month. From the Tour de France to a trip Down Under we select a range of different grapes or styles to explore. It’s the perfect way to try something new, learn something, and feel more confident when buying wine in the future.
Our online tastings are designed to be fun and informative rather than too technical. Complete novices are welcome! And if an online tasting isn’t your thing, you could still use the notes to taste along at home with friends in your own time. You could also keep a look out for some of our in-person tastings at Cru.
Our online wine tasting packs include five different samples, a tasting booklet and access to the online tasting. We deliver wine packs for FREE to local addresses the day before the tasting. Packs are from £25 per pack (with enough wine for 2 people to share) with optional add-ons such as five deliciously paired cheeses from Christophé at the Cheese Shop or five handcrafted chocolates from Holly at HollyChocs.
