AESA Cortaillod: the Scorpius DT is a better way to characterize coaxial cable parameters

AESA Cortaillod, a leading Swiss manufacturer of automatic test equipment (ATE) specialized in testing solutions to fully characterize electrical parameters of cables and wires, will showcase the abilities of the Scorpius DT for high frequency parameters of coaxial cables.

The equipment is a complete and integrated solution to characterize both 50Ω and 75Ω coaxial cables with embedded VNA (Vector Network Analyzer). The dedicated N-type (N50 and N75/F75) interfaces with the company’s new released universal connectors let the operator quickly connect the different products while ensuring perfect contact on both the core and the shield of a coaxial cable. Scorpius DT allows measuring from 100 KHz to 18 GHz (frequency extension on request) and performs all electrical tests on cables responding to ANSI/ TIA-568.4-D for broadband coaxial cabling and component standard, IEC 61196-x and EN 50117-x.

Scorpius is available in a rackmountable version for customization of its components. It also can be an option for existing AESA automatic testing equipment for LAN cables.

AESA offers also baluns and balunless solutions for LAN or category cable up to Cat. 8, linear resistance measuring equipment covering very small to very large section range, either in the lab or directly on-the- line, data management systems, ISO 17025 certification, knowledge and expertise in the cable industry for boosting your production yield.

That includes a wide spectrum of multi- with closed-loop control traverse, completed automation, and 0 to 100% torque speed control, including 2000:1 vector duty motors. We offer high-speed, continuous spooling for extrusion and drawing lines, automatic reel change controlled by PLC. Automatic reel load/ unload. Automatic carrying in/out is done by handy under-plate system. New Pioneer systems: a multiwire drawing machine, a silicone rubber extruder, a multimotor rod breakdown and a catenary contact wire drawing machine. Pioneer also manufactures: extrusion lines, telephone and power cable lines, wire drawing machines, copper/aluminum rod breakdown machines, basket down coilers, pointing and stringing machines, a 7B double-twist buncher, 7-19B tubular, rigid and grade silicones and other composite compounds. One appealing solution we have developed is a compound that has high-temperature resistance and fire-retardant performance. It could enable a cable manufacturer to meet demanding standards, such as BS 8491 and ISO 19642 for the highrisk environment, public transportation and EV, etc. planetary machines; eccentric and concentric tapping machines; capstans; single and dual take up; payoffs; and vertical and horizontal accumulators.
