The Holistic Moms Network™ is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization connecting parents who are interested in holistic health and green living. HMN encourages moms to trust their instincts, parent from the heart, use their innate sense of what is best for their children, live in balance with the Earth, and learn about the pros and cons of all healthcare and parenting options. OUR STORY
“When I embarked upon my own journey into motherhood somehow I naively thought that once I became a parent I would easily find others who shared my natural living passions. My first son was born at home, with a midwife and doula in attendance, was adjusted by a doctor of chiropractic four hours after his birth, and was being raised according to my holistic lifestyle. But finding other moms like me was no easy task. Parenting holistically was challenging enough, but without support it was a lonely journey. I truly needed the support and encouragement of other parents who shared my passions. That is how the Holistic Moms Network was born. It was through connecting with other parents that I renewed my lifelong passion for community building and empowering women, and recognized the power that support networks and local communities could create.� Nancy Peplinsky, Founder

OUR MISSION
At the Holistic Moms Network, our mission is to generate national awareness, education, and support for holistic parenting and green living by providing nurturing, openminded, and respectful local community networks that encourage families to share these ideals and learn from each other.
We represent and advocate on behalf of parents nationwide who are working to build a healthier and more sustainable future. By joining our voices, we create a powerful force for change. Â
OUR MEMBERS • 98% are women (moms and expectant moms) • 63% of our members are between 30 and 40 years old • 96% are parents; 56% have 2 or more children • 44% have children < 2 yrs. old; 27% with children aged 3-5 • More than 27% are holistic practitioners • Top areas of interest: Healthy/Organic Foods, Alternative Medicine, and Holistic Education

SPECIAL EVENTS
Each year the Holistic Moms Network celebrates Holistic Living Month in October, honoring both our communityâ&#x20AC;&#x2122;s beginning and the journey toward living more holistically. Through social media, we share actions for holistic living, hold a nationwide open house at all of our local Chapters, and host our HMN Raising Auction to raise funds for our non-profit community. During October, we also host our annual Natural Living Conference.
The annual Natural Living Conference features esteemed speakers and holistic health experts discussing the latest information about natural and holistic living.
This annual event attracts dozens of vendors as well as 200-400 attendees, including speakers and press.
HOLISTIC MOMS PROJECTS
Inspired by the needs of our member community, the Holistic Moms Network has successfully undertaken a number of projects, from our Nursing Our Future DVD to normalize public breastfeeding, to our two member-driven cookbooks where we have shared hundreds of healthy, kid-friendly recipes. We have also given our members a larger voice through social media projects such as “I’m a Holistic Mom Because . . .” and through our growing Facebook presence.
