Your life. Your path. Your career awaits you. You shou ld c o nsi der a te chn i c al c ol l ege i f …

You want to get into a career sooner.

You want to take on less debt, both in cost per year, and total years of tuition.

Your options are unlimited, and you’re open to continuing on to a four-year degree or more.

You want to schedule your education around other responsibilities: family, job, or other commitments.

You want to learn from expert instructors with industry/employer connections to help you make your way.

You want to start with a few credits at a time, knowing you can build on that, and add credentials along the way.

You’re not sure what career you want to pursue yet (you’ll get exposure to a lot of careers here!).

You want small classes where you build relationships with other students and your instructors.

You have a passion and interest in a subject that translates into skills that others value and pay for.

Your talents are driving your entrepreneurial spirit, but you need some additional tools to become successful.

02 UNIVERSAL CREDIT TRANSFER ACCEPTANCE (UCTA) This transfer goal was established in 2015 to allow for a core set of courses taken at technical colleges to satisfy 36 credits or more of general education or elective degree requirements at four-year UW institutions. That’s well over two semesters worth of credits at a university.

03 LIBERAL ARTS COLLEGE TRANSFER PROGRAM Five of the 16 technical colleges (Chippewa Valley, Milwaukee Area, Nicolet, Madison and Western) offer the first two years of liberal arts courses in the comfort of a technical college campus.
