WKCD/Next Generation Press In Our Global Village

Using the Internet, print publications, and multimedia, What Kids Can Do (WKCD) brings to a world audience the power of youth voices and ideas. Our website, www.whatkidscando.org, includes feature stories about youth and their adult allies engaging in "powerful learning with public purpose." The site also has what may be the largest collection of student work available online. WKCD's publishing arm, Next Generation Press (www.nextgenerationpress.org), involves youth as co-authors in all of its titles. The "In Our Global Village" project (http://inourvillage.whatkidscando.org/global_village_project.html) represents an incredible, grassroots movement to pair literacy, service learning, and global understanding.
