SGA passes resolution to support access to campus mental health resources

The Student Government Association passed Resolution 4-25-S during its Tuesday meeting which supports forming a Mental Health and Suicide Prevention Advisory Board to increase access to mental health resources on campus. The Mental Heath and Suicide Prevention Advisory Board would advise upper-level administration on policies, initiatives and changes surrounding student mental health. Vice President of Student Experience and Dean of Students Martha Sales is planned to oversee its formation

Richmond senior Abby Brewer used CramBetter for her Biophysics II class after a difficult first exam On the next test, her score increased by 30 percentage points

CramBetter offers study guides, short explanations, practice exams and video solutions for 13 WKU courses in physics, chemistry and calculus. The material contained in each CramBetter course matches the contents of WKU syllabi, ensuring that students are prepared for their exams

“What your professor covers each week, we condense down into about an hour It’s the stuff you really need to know for the exams, ” CramBetter tutor Steven Keys said.

Brewer added that CramBetter doesn’t just give students answers they guide them through the process of problem-solving, ensuring that they truly understand the material

“Those stressful classes are so hard to get through,” Brewer said “Anything to make it a little bit easier it’s worth it.”

WKU Softball falls to Louisville in lowscoring battle

WKU Softball fell to the University of Louisville 3-2 Tuesday night, dropping to 15-14 overall Although they were outscored, the Hilltoppers’ efficient defense kept them in the game WKU retired the first three Louisville batters in the third, fifth and seventh innings Sophomore Rylan Smith also pitched the full game and struck out four batters

WKU Baseball bounces back at Evansville

WKU baseball picked up a 13-3 midweek win over the Evansville Purple Aces on Tuesday night, improving to 4-3 on the road and 22-3 overall Junior Carlos Vasquez led the Hilltoppers offensively, going 3-for-4 with two doubles, two RBIs and a walk Junior Caleb Niehaus also went 3-for-4, driving in two runs and scoring three times

WKU Women’s Basketball’s guard duo of junior Josie Gilvin and sophomore Mackenzie Chatfield have entered their names in the transfer portal according to Talia Goodman of on3 com

Gilvin was a spark off the bench in her freshman and sophomore campaigns, averaging 18 6 minutes between the two years Gilvin averaged just four points in her first two seasons, appearing in every game but starting just 13 over the two years
