BG Shakery Scoops up Local Flavor
BG Shakery is a local business that specializes in mobile ice cream carts. Kari McConnell, BG Shakery owner, said these carts offer new mobility and a unique flare to her ice cream business.
“We do a lot of fun, amazing events,” McConnell said. “We book a lot of weddings, birthdays. We do private events in people’s homes and graduations, and we can go to schools to do fundraisers.”
McConnell said the carts display seven flavors, which customers can pick from over 60 options. Some of the flavors include brownie batter chunk and blueberry cheesecake.
She said these ice creams can be mixed and matched to make scoops, shakes or boozy shakes. They also make in-house waffle wedges, which can be customized into shapes such as hearts or initials. These can be used as ice cream scoops or to make an ice cream sandwich.
“Whether it’s graduation or engagement parties, we love to be a part of people’s big days,”
McConnell said. “We love to make connections and help someone find their favorite ice cream flavor, because when we find it, we see it on your face.”
