employee accomplishments
CERT trainees practice what they learned to become a first responder in emergency situations.
JOURNAL STAFF Preparedness is more than helping in time of disaster; preparedness is knowing what to do everyday to help those around you and when disaster strikes. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) training will prepare you to do just that. Become the “first responder of your family and friends by taking the upcoming CERT training offered by Lake Stevens, Arlington, Getchell and Granite Falls Fire Departments, Marysville Fire District, Tulalip Tribes and the City of Marysville. This training will show you how to make a plan, create a disaster kit and provide you with basic awareness that can help you provide emergency medical assistance, conduct urban search and rescue, and put out small fires with fire extinguishers as well as lead teams of volunteers to do the most good for the most people in an emergency. CERT classes will start for North East Snohomish County on March 26 and run for seven consecutive Friday nights, from
From L to R: Chief Gary Faucett, Deputy Chief Lingenfelter, Battalion Chief Perry Putnam, Fire Marshal Robert Marshall, Battalion Chief Larry Huff and Battalion Chief Bruce Huston.
